Heimathafen Kö Leipzig — Restaurant in Leipzig

Beautiful place. That's what drew us there. I went with my mom and partner. Only my food was decent (not great). For the price I was expecting something really good. I don't understand where the good reviews come from. The staff, even though they seem like nice people, are kind of clueless about what they are doing. I think it's a problem of logistic and organisations, definitely a managerial problem and not the fault of the waiters/cooks. You need a better system, perhaps digitalised.

Our table numbers was confused several times and they didn't even know what we ordered. Our drinks arrived after half an hour and our food after one and a half hours.

My mom and partner couldn't finish their food, the meat was not good and the rest flavourless. I ordered the salmon which was at least decent, but not good for that price.

Will not go again or...

Update 07/2022: Ich muss meine 5-Sterne-Bewertung leider nochmal revidieren, leider hat der Heimathafen nachgelassen. Ich war seit längerem mal wieder mit der Familie dort spontan Essen. Nach kurzer Wartezeit hat man uns einen schönen Tisch zugewiesen, welcher leider etwas übel roch, weil er mit einem alten Lappen abgewischt wurde. Der Service war nett, jedoch hat es an Kleinigkeiten gehapert. Eine Bestellung wurde vergessen, und sie haben die Getränke für meine 4-Jährige Tochter in großen hohen Gläsern gebracht, auch nach der Frage nach einem kleineren Glas für Kinder. Ergebnis war das das Getränk 2 mal umgekippt wurde. Es war auch recht gut besucht, was die etwas langen Wartezeiten entschuldigt. Die größte Enttäuschung war allerdings das Essen. Ich hatte eine Paella, welche recht lieblos angerichtet war und meine Freundin hatte den Lammeintopf, welcher sogar zurückgehen musste weil das verwendete Fleisch sehr knorpelig war. Die Kinderportion Kartoffelpuffer war gut und hat geschmeckt. Insgesamt ist von der 2019 noch von mir gelobten Finesse der Gerichte nicht mehr viel übrig. Normale Hausmannskost mit o.g. Ausfällen. Zusätzlich waren die Portionen auch recht klein und haben mich nicht gesättigt. Das Ambiente ist weiterhin sehr gut es wurde auch nochmal angebaut was mehr Sitzplätze am Wasser schafft. Ich hoffe die Küche bessert sich bald wieder, hingehen werde ich auch wieder.

After enjoying a nice walk in Clara-Zetkin Park, we decided to visit this beautifully located restaurant.

Unfortunately, our visit didn't go well.

We were seated by one waitress, but then another waiter came and complained that we shouldn't have sat before he cleaned the table.

We apologized even though it wasn't our fault, but he kept lecturing us about how we should behave on our next visit. To make it worse, nobody even bothered to bring us menus.
