While exploring the quaint town of Braubach on a public holiday, we stumbled upon this traditional German restaurant quite by chance — and what a delightful find it was!

Tucked away in old city, the restaurant offers an authentic atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a cozy, local experience. The ambience is warmly traditional, with decor that reflects the region’s heritage.

Service was exceptional — the staff were incredibly polite and attentive, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived.

The food, however, was the true standout. Every dish we tried was rich in flavor and prepared with clear attention to tradition and quality. The highlight of the meal was without a doubt the Leberknödel soup — a hearty, comforting dish that perfectly captured the essence of German cuisine.

My family stayed here whilst travelling through the Rhine Valley, we were recommended the Guesthouse by a forum member who's an Expert on the Rhine. The Guesthouse is next door to the restaurant of the same name and given the price I didn't have overly hire expectations.||When I got there and checked in I couldn't believe how good this was, although it's in a 400 year old building the guesthouse is completely new and modern inside. ||It's exceptional value and very comfortably, with 2 bedrooms, a large bathroom, a new modern kitchen with dining table and a separate lounge room.||Quite frankly for the money this is the best bargain I've ever seen in Europe.
