Thai Sawadee Restaurant — Restaurant in Magdeburg

Stopped in for dinner at Thai Sawadee. Hospitable hosts, beautiful presentation, reasonably priced. The menu includes various vegan options. The ambience is very welcoming and the place was clean. Food was freshly prepared and good quality.

Compared to other Thai restaurants I have visited both in Germany and living in Thailand I would say the food was definitely good and above average. Anyhow the taste was not very surprising or exceptional.

We had แกงเผ็ด (Red Curry) ผัดขิง (Pad Khing) ผัดกระเพรา (Pad Kra Phao) which were all vegetarian. My favorite one was แกงเผ็ด. None of them tasted like authentic Thai, although they were delicious. We ordered fried udon, nasi goreng and Tom yam gong. All four of us were very happy with the food! They have also plenty of different tastes for the home made ice tea. I tried cocos which was a bit too sweet but you could also ask for reduced sweetness. The portion of the food was good, my male friends all got full from their dish.
