China Garden — Restaurant in Mainz

A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! POOR QUALITY!!! A bad joke for a restaurant!!! completely ruined my evening, a number of quality issues coupled with severe unprofessional behavior. To start the sushi was of extremely poor quality with disgusting rancid fish bearing a smell that turned my stomach. Which I dealt with patiently and requested new sushi be brought out. My next plate of sushi was brown and grey fish with a pungent odor, I finally complained and refused to pay for such a disgusting buffet (the entire buffet was disgusting by the way) the male employee argues with me reaches on my plate with his hand and eats the rotten fish talking to me with a mouthful of sushi telling me the food isn't bad. He reached onto my plate right in front of me and ate the rotten fish to show me the food was good enough to eat, what am I your child your disgusting behavior doesn't convince me , I was really amazed by his extremely unprofessional behavior he then stormed off after shouting at me with a mouthful of stinky sushi and left me there completely unsatisfied for 10 minutes. Best. Buffet. Ever. That's all you really need to know. But if you want to read on: fresh, delicious and large selection of Chinese food, plus an entire row of about 35 raw vegetables and about 25 meat, game, poultry and seafood options with 8 sauces to take to the Mongolian grill to be prepared and brought to your table (very quickly)! If that wasn't enough, they had an amazing dessert buffet including a wonderful assortment of Haribo and 8 self-scoop ice cream flavors. The only problem with this buffet is that I didn't want to stop eating. So I was rolled out by my wife. Haha. We also brought our son. There are high chairs and children's books to borrow during the meal. He also liked the indoor turtle pond. The restaurant was very clean, including the buffet stations. We went for dinner on a Friday evening. It was very busy but were seated immediately. Drink service was prompt. Friendly staff. The food choices are phenomenal - about every kind of land animal normally eaten, and a large variety of seafood. The lachs sushi was fresh. Salad bar with lots of toppings and dressings, the Mongolian grill section has a huge variety of veggies in addition to all the meats. Really outstanding. The number of flavors of eis (ice cream) were crazy, really good. And bunches of sauces to top the eis. Lots of other good desserts too, including plain fruit.
