Poor food, creepy service. Well, the beer from the tap is great. The rest was a rather awkward experience: On arrival, shoved around between four different service people, because "no seats" in a more than half-empty restaurant. Eventually got a spot, waitress was lovely, we ordered beer, a burger and a Fajita and nachos. The beer and the nachos were fine, though three tiny portions of possibly not homemade sauce for a huge plate of nachos seemed the first thing off. Then it got worse: The burger turned out to be a way too well done slab of bland meat and not much else between two mushy half of burger buns like those I could buy at the local Aldi market. The Fajita was - at least juicy - chunks of meat, onion and bell pepper in a sauce that mostly reminded on badly done Chinese sweet-and-sour; the kind you find in the low shelf. The tortillas were soft, but so small that the huge chunks of meat and vegetables could not reasonably well be wrapped into them, and the sauces once more in such tiny portions (and tiny containers), that the eating experience became a bizarre, albeit short, mess. Get me right - the food wasn't intolerable (we did not return it, after all), but way, way below expectations of what was advertised. When we requested the bill, the waitress came, cleared our plates, and inquired on how we enjoyed food. After our truthful response, which she obviously was not prepared to handle in a professional manner, and got embarrased for our experience, despite our reassurance that things were alright, the bad food was hardly her fault and we would just like to pay now, she got her manager who aggressively harrassed us for our insolence of not enjoying his mediocre food. We politely inquired once more to finally pay the bill and he eventually vanished, only to give place to our waitress - who then lectured us that the cook told her some sort of bogus and that we probably haven't had either good Fajita or a good burger, despite of having a Mexican at the table. Mind, we only got the bill after having to ask yet another...
Read moreNice little bar. Interesting vibe, but I was there on a Sunday so it was a little quiet. Service was very nice, and were happy to help in English which was a nice gesture. Food was mostly OK, steak was not as good as expected, low level of seasoning, and cooked medium-well by default, was not asked for a preference. Slightly tough, but very nice beefy flavour, and the rest of the meal was excellent and generally think this was good value for money. I would happily return again, just maybe not...
Read moreMy husband and I dropped by here for a little night cap and sat at the bar. It was our first night in Germany and we were looking forward to a little taste of Chicago. The bartender was SO rude and kept talking about us in German because my husband wanted to try a few of the beers on tap. The wine that they served me was old and when I said something I was scowled at and told it wasn’t old. Do not come here if you’re looking for a nice welcoming spot in Germany. I’ll take my...
