Tou Bakali München-Laim | Griechisches Wohlfühl-Restaurant — Restaurant in Munich

Dining at Tou Bakali begins with a welcome shot of their local aperitivo. We ordered their mixed appetisers for 2 people (Ouzo therapie), a tomato soup that was (a little) spicy and melinzanes (aubergines filled with cheese). We soon realised that we had ordered too much food as we were almost full after the appetisers :). Anyway, for our main course we tried the gyros pita, rolakia, souvlaki metaxa and bifteki classico. Even though we were already full, we needed to try their baklava which we didn't regret. There was a confusion with our order and in the end they brought us musaka instead of rolakia so we advise you to tell them the numbers written at the front of the dish. The cost was around 170 € for 4 people including 3 appetisers, 5 main courses, 2 desserts and drinks. The staff was very friendly, like true Greeks :)....

Super restaurant; great addition to food options in Laim. We've eaten here several times and the lovely waiters always remember us and my food allergies. They are always concerned that we have an excellent experience. Very cozy, you feel like you're inside a Greek tavern. Food is top notch; everything is tasty, prepared to preferences, and cooked hot, fresh and fast. Prices are very good for Munich, even cheap considering the quality of the food! The free ouzo shots and creamed yogurt dessert with carrots in the evening mealtime are a delightful extra. At least one of the waiters speaks English and he's super nice (his name is Dimitrios, tell him hi!). This is a tough location and I hope they keep up the great work and stay for...

Amazing dinner for two. Came here with a friend of mine after a workout and told the very nice, fun and friendly staff what we are looking for. The two waiters then took amazing care of us with lots of banter and skill. We had a feast of delicious starters and then came the surprise plate from the chef and what a surprise it actually was. Delicious and huge portions for a very fair price. We both could finish our plate and took home a box each containing enough for another meal. All in all I can only highly recommend.
