Wirtshaus Franzz — Restaurant in Munich

The service started slow, I think the man wasn't good at English so he didn't come by for our order, instead another waitress eventually came.

(I don't know German, i don't expect them to know english. I always have my google translate just in case for these things.) We ordered the schnitzel of the day and a wheat beer. The schnitzel was covered in bacon,onions and cheese! Amazing meal.

The price was great! The good was great! Lost a star for the slow start. Again don't worry about my language, I came to you to eat.

We were coldly and indifferently greeted (or the complete lack of) when the restaurant was still empty. We were there at 17.30 hrs without a reservation. The food we ordered were OK but not the Schweinsbraten, the 2 slices were so fatty. Waiter said that's how it should be, but I have ordered enough of this dish at several other restaurants and none came half as fat as these. Schönes bayerisches Lokal mit leckerem Essen und im Sommer mit Biergarten, Entgegen der bisherigen Bewertungen fielen unsere Portionen bisher recht übersichtlich aus. Waren in den vergangenen Monaten zwei mal sonntags dort (Schnitzeltag!) und beide Male war die Portion meiner Begleitung enttäuschend. Der angegebene "Berg Pommes" war nicht mehr als eine Hand voll und das Schnitzelchen nur etwas für den kleinen Hunger. Für mich als Frau waren die Portionen jeweils ausreichend. Leider macht es aber auch die echt gute Qualität des Essens nicht wett, wenn man(n) hinterher noch hungrig ist. Bei den Gerichten der regulären Speisekarte war es über die Jahre hinweg unterschiedlich - mal mehr als genug, mal etwas mager. Im Großen und Ganzen ein schönes Lokal mit gutbürgerlicher Küche, saisonalen Gerichten, freundlichem Personal und gemütlichem Ambiente. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es aber für die flexiblen...
