The service was horrible. We sat there so long I finally asked for a menu. The waiter gestured impatiently to the area where the menus were as if he expected us to get them ourselves. I must’ve looked surprised because he then gave up and said, “Yeah okay. I’ll get them for you.” Then we waited a much longer time and a confused waitress came up and was like, “Ummmmm… have you ordered yet?”

The food. Not even remotely authentic Mexican food. I’m American. Been to Mexico a number of times and have many Mexican friends. The chicken enchilada tasted distinctly like a German and an Italian got together to try and create something that could possibly resemble Mexican food. It didn’t. It was awful. The Carne Asada Quesadilla was actually VERY yummy but not really Mexican either. It had a distinct flavor of balsamic vinegar. Yet another funny indication that there’s an Italian behind the scenes trying to Mexicanize Italian food.

The price - HORRENDOUS! More than 6€ for a bottle of water! It’s not a cocktail! It’s WATER! Almost 19€ per plate for mediocre food. For two people, the cost was a jaw-dropping 47€. No appetizers, no desserts, no coffee. Just two entrees and 2 drinks total (one per person).

While the quesadilla was quite good, I would never go back. This is way overpriced and I can make far better Mexican...

Il y a aussi de plus grandes tables disponibles pour un bon groupe de personnes, il y a aussi des tapas à manger et aussi de nombreux plats mexicains mais aussi des hamburgers ou de bonnes salades, j'y ai définitivement toujours mangé de la bonne nourriture et le personnel est très attentionné et sympathique et ça peut aussi être payé par carte, j'ai reçu un menu dans lequel il y en a certainement pour tous les goûts. Dans le sens végétalien, il y a des plats et il y a aussi des plats pour les plus jeunes, je vous conseille d'appeler vers 18h et de réserver par exemple. Envie d'avoir une table à 20h. C'est plus difficile avec un fauteuil roulant ou pour les personnes à mobilité réduite car il y a des marches à l'entrée. les toilettes sont également assez étroites dans le couloir. veuillez clarifier cela auprès du personnel du bar. Vor ca. 10 Jahren waren wir öfters im Pepe, und das Essen war immer richtig gut und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat gepasst. Nachdem wir zufällig am Wochenende in Neumarkt waren, haben wir einen Tisch reserviert. Es waren zwei Servicekräfte im Dienst, Jaden, der sehr nett, höflich und zuvorkommend war, und ein junges Mädel, die genau das Gegenteil war. Weder nett noch höflich und man hatte das Gefühl, sie würde halb schlafen. Leider hat die Qualität und auch die Quantität des Essens stark nachgelassen. Dafür ist der Preis deutlich gestiegen. Über 20 Euro für Chicken Fajitas ist schon ordentlich...vor allem da die Saucen-Beilagen echt total winzig waren und es nicht mal mehr geriebenen Käse dazu gab. Ich bestellte mir dann die Beef Fajitas für 21 Euro - medium rare. Was ich bekam war zwar geschmacklich gut - allerdings war das Fleisch kaum zu schneiden und noch weniger zu kauen. Ich sagte dies dem jungen Mann vom Service und er entschuldigte sich und bot mir an, das Essen neu machen zu lassen. Ich nahm das Angebot dankend an. Mein Mann und unser Sohn waren lange schon mit dem Essen fertig, als endlich meine Beef Fajitas zum 2. Mal an den Tisch gebracht wurden. Ich freute mich echt darauf - nur um dann entsetzt festzustellen, dass das Fleisch wieder genau die gleiche Schuhsohlenartige Konsistenz hatte. Ich war echt enttäuscht, und als die Servicekraft fragte, ob alles ok wäre, sagte ich, dass es wieder genau so sei wie davor...ich es aber essen würde, weil ich einfach Hunger hatte und nicht noch einmal auf ein neues Essen warten wollte. Die Tortilla-Fladen waren so zäh und wurden innerhalb von Sekunden! hart am Teller. Am besten war für mich die Erdbeer-Limonade. Der Burrito unseres Sohnes war überwiegend mit sehr großen Tomatenstücken gefüllt und kaum Hühnchen. Die Chicken Fajitas meines Mannes waren schmackhaft und gut - aber auch hier war einfach die Portion zu klein. Fazit: ohne Trinkgeld haben wir knapp 70 Euro zu dritt bezahlt für Essen, das leider nicht überzeugen konnte. Der junge Mann im Service war allerdings nett und bekam deshalb selbstverständlich auch sein Trinkgeld. Das Pepe werden wir allerdings nicht mehr...
