Cafe Extrablatt Nordhorn — Restaurant in Nordhorn

There's like six different menu's, great in theory but way too cluttering and a little dangerous with the burning candle right next to it. The burgers are amazing (especially the bacon burger!), pizzas are good and the sausage and schnitzels were also pretty good, though the french fries felt a little out of place, thicker fries would've tasted and looked better. However the seasonal chicken bowl was really bad. The vegetables seemed mismatched, there was too much sauce and cheese and the rice (ish stuff) was very mushy, not sure if that was intentional but I personally could not get it down. I also strongly disliked the texture of the chicken in that specific bowl. There seemed to be little variation on ice cream, which was surprising. The coconut kiss mocktail is the best I've had of its kind, but the pink berry mocktail was way too sour, none of us 5 people really liked it. Service was great the first time we went, the second time our waitress was very busy chatting with other staff so we had to wait for her to finish chatting (about what seemed to be unimportant things, but could've been important of course!) which wasn't horrible but was a little unprofessional. The prices are great though so...

Wir gehen immer mal wieder gerne zum Extrablatt da wir das Ambiente schätzen und das Essen gut ist. Nachdem wir zuletzt im Winter jedoch das Frühstücksbuffet nutzten waren wir dieses Mal doch sehr erstaunt wie stark das Ganze abgenommen hat.

Gezahlt haben wir für zwei Personen rund 26 Euro (rd. 13 Euro pro Person), aber das was früher ein tolles Buffet war ist leider nicht mehr dasselbe.

Natürlich steigen die Lebensmittelpreise auch in der Gastro, aber ein höherer Preis für das Angebot bei gleichzeitiger Verschlechterung dessen muss nicht sein.

Das Speisenangebot hat sich verschlankt, aufgefüllt wird auch in einer deutlich langsameren Taktung. Wo man hinkam nur wenige Stücke oder bereits leer. Die Anrichtung deutlich liebloser als in alten Zeiten.

Am schlimmsten jedoch, dass einfach für den Preis die Getränke weggenommen werden. Meinetwegen kann man den kostenlosen Saft ja weglassen, aber zumindest Wasser könnte man zur Verfügung stellen oder wenn auch das nicht geht ein ordentliches Getränk. Eine ungekühlte winzge 0,2 Liter Saft Flasche die man sich strategisch einteilen muss macht beim Essen keine Freude und so sehr ich wirtschaftliche Aspekte respektiere, wenn ich schon für ein stark abgespecktes Frühstück mehr zahle als früher, sehe ich nicht ein fast 10 Euro noch einmal in extra Getränke zu investieren.

Für uns war es das damit leider erst einmal mit dem Extrablatt Frühstück. Es war lecker was es gab, aber der Preis passt für uns nicht mehr...

Very agressive manager… he was shouting at us while explaining about we need ffp masks and asking for the id. There is a more customer oriented way of telling people that they need a ffp mask and not a regular mask. we bought the ffp mask from them, then he was now shouting about the id.
