I had to come to this place because of a staff get-together which I didn't want to miss, just because I was vegan. Since we were a lot of people we had a buffet and us, 3 vegetarians/vegans, were not allowed to take something from the buffet and were just served some sad looking vegetables OR potatoes, we couldn't even have both. And we still had to pay a lot for that. I will never come back, this is the worst place for vegans. If your friends want to eat here, you have to convince them to go elsewhere, we have so many options here in Osnabrück.

Of course, I am well aware that this is a meat focused restaurant but it wouldn't kill you to be vegan/vegetarian friendly and just have one dish on the menu. Also the staff wasn't friendly and very slow but I'm not surprised about that, they were probably...

A great experience! Traditional German foods at reasonable and affordable prices. The buffet is lovely and the pig knuckles are definitely a must try!

I absolutely love their in-house brewed beer (the fermentation vats can be viewed at the back of the restaurant through windows) and the fresh bread they make using the wort from the beer brewing process.

The decoration is traditional and there are 2 floors. Don't expect quiet atmosphere as diners will be chatting loudly and having fun all evening. They have a smoking room at second floor just for smokers to enjoy their nicotine.

It's always full and best to call in to reserve your place if you go in a group.
