Ordered an apple slice and a 'Costa' cappuccino. The pastry on the slice was overworked and tough. The cappuccino was the worst I can honestly say I have ever been served. Insipid, pale and unappetizing to look at, with no froth or colour, and luke warm. It had a faint tang which was not of coffee! I returned it and the maker tried again but it was almost as bad. The coffee machine is just a press button affair and I can only assume it had run out of beans. A refund was forthcoming.

Came here after going to their WC. EC costs 1 euro but you get 0.5 euro rebate if you purchase some items from the cafe. Nice location. Limited indoor seats but plenty of outdoor seats for peak season. Limited food items and a bit pricey. Well one pay for the tourist trap. A lot can be improved, from food to layout to make it cozy and friendly.

Eine überforderte und unfreundliche Bedienung hinterm Tresen, die nicht weiß, was sie zuerst machen soll. Preise einfach bodenlos, VIER EURO FÜR EINEN EISKAFFEE AUS DEM TETRAPAK ?! In einem Plastikbecher serviert?! Wo man Sahne nochmal extra zahlen muss?! Wer kalkuliert diese Preise?! Essen sieht auch nicht sehr appetitlich aus, alles Fertigzeugs, was wahrscheinlich schon paar Tage liegt, dazu auch nichts vegetarisches. Da vergeht einem mal schnell der Appetit. Schade eigentlich. Man könnte mehr aus diesem Ort machen. Nie wieder.

Ich kann mich den vorherigen negativen Bewertungen nur anschliessen - als Café eines solchen imposanten Museums VÖLLIG ungeeignet. Die Mitarbeiter habe ich als schroff empfunden, fast brüllen sie die Gäste an, keine Servicehaltung. Ein junger Mann an der Theke trug sehr schmutzige, gerissene Kleidung und stank bestialisch - was hat eine solche Person hinter der Theke eines gastronomischen Betriebs verloren? Das zuständige Gesundheitsamt müsste sich dieses Lokal genauer anschauen. Dazu die Tabletts fürs Essen schmutzig (mit Patina), das Essen niedrige Qualität.

Das die Toiletten des Cafés die einzigen Toiletten des Museums sind und sie trotz des Eintrittspreises GEBÜHRENPFLICHTIG sind ist meines Erachtens dreist. Auf die Konsumation im Café (wovon ich aus hygienischen Gründen dringend abraten würde) wird allerdings die Hälfte der Toilettengebühr in Form eines Gutscheins angerechnet. Wieso bitte schön nur die Hälfte? Als Museums- UND Cafékunde muss man trotzdem die Hälfte der Nutzungsgebühr selbst tragen?...
