Kashmir Haus — Restaurant in Potsdam

This May we had a very nice birthday dinner in this restaurant. We were at first not quite sure whether we should really go to the restaurant, but our dinner proved we have made the right decision. We've expected to spend something about 80€ or even more, yet we've paid less than 70€ for 4 people. The food was very well prepared and tasty. There are many variations of curry and other Indian dishes with nice spices blend as with meat as well as vegetarian options. So if you eat vegetarian, as we do, you don't have to worry about it at all. My personal recommendations are the dish with lentils and the ones with panir (the cheese they cook with is unbelievably soft and mild, it almost melts in your mouth). You definitely will not be disappointed by rice - it's splendid. As a nice bonus, of course, you get a portion of salad. As for drinks, they are tasty and not too expensive as well. We were and still are truly thankful for this pleasant dinner we had. Last but not least, the people working there are sooooo nice, friendly and responsive to their guests. They speak both English and German (and maybe some other language), you will definitely have no difficulties in communicating with each other, if you might want to inquire how to eat those thin lentil waffles with sauces (so we did). WIDERLICH! Wir sind ja nun wirklich nicht kleinlich mit beim Lieferservice. Da kann man nunmal kein heisses, frisches Essen erwarten, da die Fahrzeit ja auch einkalkuliert werden muss ABER: Wir haben bei Cancun bestellt am Samstag abend. Die Lieferung erfolgte ca. 1h später. Bestellt waren: 1x Nachos mit Käse, Nacho con Pollo und Fajita mit Huhn. Gekommen sind: 1x pappige Nachos aus dem Supermarkt mit einer verbrannten Käsescheibe (diese viereckigen Dinger in der Folie), nochmal pappgie Nachos mit Käse ebenfalls verbrannt ohne Huhn natürlich und eine angebrannte Suppe ??? mit zwei Huhnstücken sowie eine in Alufolie mit einem vöölig harten Tortilla drin (Scheibe einwerfen kein Problem). Die fettige verbrannt riechende Suppe??? schwamm bereits ausgekippt in der Liefertüte und war völlig ausgelaufen. Die Soßen waren ebenfalls alle deckellos und verteilten sich in der Tüte. Angerufen wieder zurück und bitte neu. Die neue Lieferung kam 30min später. Diesmal gab es pappige Aldinachos mit verbranntem Pizzakäse (ungeniessbar und bitter, das hätte ich in der Mikrowelle selber hinbekommen), nochmal Nachos mit Käse (nach 6Minuten suchen haben wir 2 Mikrostücken zähes Huhn gefunden (ca. 1cmx2cm gross, wahrscheinlich der Rest vom Teller eines Gastes, da sich daran Sosse befand die nicht zu uns gehörte.) und einmal ein warmer Tortilla mit diesmal anderer fettiger triefender Soße, scharf, verbrannt (schwarze Rückstände aus dem Topf), bitter. Sowas Öliges haben wir noch nie gesehen und gerochen. WÜRG. Natürlich war beim Anrufversuch niemand mehr erreichbar und somit kam das Zeug in die Tonne. Die gelieferten Soßen waren keine Avocadocreme bzw. Guacamole sondern Dönersoße. Wir gehen oft mexikanisch essen aber das ist uns echt vergangen im Moment. Absolutes No Go diese Bude. Im Nachhinein haben wir erst die vielen negativen Bewertungen gesehen 3 von 10 Sternen. Wir können nur jeden davor warnen dort zu bestellen. Absolut eklich. Die Bude stank bestialisch. Pfui, Mir wir dschlecht wenn ich daran denke. Ich gebe ungern schlechte Bewertungen und jedem auch die Chance auf Nacherfüllung und erwarte keine Wunder aber das geht gar nicht. 30 Euro für quasi zwei Minischalen mit pappigen Aldinachos und einer Ölsuppe mit einem Huhnstreifen....
