When in Stuttgart you must have an authentic Swabian meal at Weinstube zur kiste. My favorite is the maultaschen . It's a filled dumpling . They have several different fillings and are often served with a sauce.There are Several traditional roasted ox dishes on the menu . For the vegetarian crowd they have a all time Swabian favorite cheese spaetzle . A homemade noodle covered in a white cheese . There wein selection includes the hard to find Germany red weins . These weins are local and are not exported . Very cozy atmosphere with Great service . It's on my must do list when visiting the Baden...

Menu is a bit limited with a lot of traditional Swabian food, think meat and 2 veg with some gravy.
Positives; the onion gravy for the white sausage and potato dish was really tasty. The wines by the glass were in generous portions and also delicious with a great variety from a number of German regions. Service was really good from the ladies on front of house
Negatives; The menu selections were a bit narrow and restricted to Protein and Carbo loaders!
Worth a visit to taste a few German wines in the front tasting area...
