The restaurant is housed in an attractive, old building that exudes charm and offers a nice ambience. Unfortunately, we were unable to sit outside as initially planned, as we were asked to sit inside for some reason. Although later we could move out.

The menu, though limited, offers a selection of good dishes. The schnitzel is particularly noteworthy—crispy and flavorful, and the Riesling sauce that accompanies it is simply amazing. The risotto is also commendable, creamy and well-prepared. However, the Gulasch soup was disappointing, tasting more like it came from a can than freshly made.

We showed up 30 minutes early for dinner at the opening of the restaurant. We enjoyed a drink and ordered shortly thereafter. Not long after our meal was served, we were asked to move to another table, which we declined. When I complained about the horrible treatment we had received in the middle of our meal, we were offerred a free drink. We declined and asked for the drink to be taken off the bill. However, the proprietor demanded and I paid the full bill at departure as she actually threatened to call the police. In the Heart of the charming medieval city of Traben Trarbach, a beautiful and enchanting little medieval Town along the Mosel River Valley. The superb wine that is paired perfectly with fresh exquisite regional food at this restaurant provide an awe-inspiring sensual experience.
