Visited in August. Near to Centre. Pleasant good sized rooms. Adequate parking. Wonderful helpful family receptionists. Meals from the menu are good quality and value. Breakfast is very good, but it would really benefit from bacon and fried eggs being available. Bacon did appear occasionally, but in small amounts so it disappeared immediately. The verandah is a very pleasant venue for evening meal and drinks and the proprietor himself visits to ensure high standards. And for dog lovers worldwide......It is also very dog friendly. ||During our stay we also visited the Moselschlosschen Hotel (MH) opposite which is at least 2 or 3 times more expensive, to compare it for quality and value. While MH is obviously more luxuriously upholstered etc., we left it disappointed. We had ordered 2 ice cream sundaes as it was a hot afternoon.....that was a problem .... as there was no Ices Carte and it took 25 minutes to simply serve a dish with 3 scoops of assorted ice cream. My partner asked for a Dubbonet & Tonic ( a favorite of the old Queen Mother). After another 15 minutes she was told that they had no Dubbonet. So she had a gin and tonic, simply to avoid further delays. ||TIP : if you can live without the display of luxury, the Park Hotel is far more attentive, friendly, helpful...

Read moreThe hotel is located on a main road, but the room quiet if you close the windows (we stayed in a cold weather, in the summer this should be problematic). ||We had a family huge room on the upper floor. ||The staff are super welcoming and friendly. ||Breakfast is good. ||And for the cons: ||The hotel is not well maintained and needs renovation- ||- The elevator is quite scary- very old, shakes and squeak and goes only to second floor, from there you have to carry your luggage up the stairs... ||- The carpets are worn out, not enough outlets, so endless electrical extensions and splitters, some of them are not working. ||- The fridge was disconnected and when we tried to connect it we understood why- it sounded like a broken tractor... ||So, a lot of potential, but it's time for an...
