Weinhaus Im Lämmlein — Restaurant in Unkel

American visiting. I visited this place with my German friends upon my friends’s recommendation and it was a cozy, quaint experience. The town of Ukel is beautiful, tranquil and inviting. Weinhaus Im Lämmlein is the gem of Ukel. The place opens into a intimate atmosphere with sensible details and a traditional and jovial feel. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. We had no reservations (preferred) but they allowed us to sit at a nicely located table and communicated that all was sorted out. Beautiful rustic wine house. We went with a group of 4 for lunch without a reservation on a Saturday. It has such a beautiful decor inside, great attention to detail and staff was very welcoming. They mostly serve platters and dishes perfect for sharing. Everything was delicious and we split a bottle of house rosé which was light and perfect for the hot summer day. Wer in Unkel ist muss im „Weinhaus im Lämmlein“ einfach einmal eingekehrt sein. Wer ein Gourmet-Restaurant erwartet liegt eher falsch. Es ist ein uriges Weinhaus mit einem tollem Ambiente und einem supernetten, flinkem und sehr entgegenkommenden Service. Ich habe selten solch eine Gastfreundschaft erlebt. Aber Vorsicht - wer die tolle Kartoffelsuppe als Vorspeise bestellt und gleichzeitig ein Hauptgericht könnte Probleme bekommen. Daher mein Rat - erst die vorzügliche Kartoffelsuppe genießen und dann noch einmal überlegen, ob noch etwas weiteres „reinpasst“. Uriges Lokal, toller Service, leckeres Essen - aber vornehmlich von der „kalten Platte“. Wir waren jetzt seit letztem Jahr bereits 3 Mal mit unserem Reisemobil in der Nähe von Unkel - und auch jedes Mal im „Weinhaus im Lämmlein“. Wer einen Platz im Inneren des Lokals findet, wird von dem Ambiente dort begeistert sein - wer einen Platz draußen bekommt, wird zusätzlich von dem Blick in die malerische Gasse begeistert sein. Meinerseits eine absolute Empfehlung - zumal ich nicht mehr in der Nähe von Unkel gewesen sein werde, ohne dort einmal vorbei...
