Phở — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Konstanz

We went yesterday, in October 2025. The waiter was far from helpful. Apart from no seatings or greetings, there was only ‘what can I get you’ question after a good 10-minute wait for her to show up.

Meanwhile I saw her bring the main course onto another table without the customers having had finished their starters. They were still eating, and the plates nearly dropped on the floor from not enough space on the table.

After our super fast & cold order, the food was prepared pretty quickly.

What got me when she brought the ancillary ginger, lime and chilli with my pho soup was that she kinda of hid the mini-plate in her fist squeezing the lime so much, I literally saw drops of lime falling down her hand as she was putting food on the table. Pretty disquieting. She did not speak good German at all, but one would expect at least a smile when we enter and go.

Very cheap experience in this...

Eigentlich habe ich bei den Bewertungen schon gelesen, dass das Gericht Pho mit falschem Gemüse serviert wird und wollte eher nicht hingehen. Da ich ein Schlemmerblock habe und dementsprechend ein Angebot für das Restaurant bekomme, dachte ich mir, ich gehe hin und bestelle was anderes, vielleicht schmecken andere Gerichte doch gut. Vom Optik her sieht das Restaurant cool aus mit vielen Pflanzen, die Entspannungsmusik ist gelaufen und das war gut. Wir sind ins Restaurant gegangen, eine Minute später kam direkt eine Bedienerin und wollte wissen was für Getränke wir bestellen wollten. Ich wusste nicht was es gab und bekam dann das Menü. Eine Minute später kam sie wieder und wollte wieder das wissen. Wirklich hektisch. Dann wollte ich etwas von der Karte bestellen aber in diesem Restaurant darf man nur von der Mittagskarte bestellen, wenn man am Mittag da isst. Na gut, jedes Restaurant ist anders. Dann habe ich mir Ente mit Bambussprossen bestellt. Das Essen hat sehr mild geschmeckt, es war gar keine Bambussprossen dabei (????). Ich verstehe das nicht, warum in diesem Restaurant werden viele Gerichte so "authentisch" genannt obwohl sie gar nicht damit zu tun haben (???) Von mir aus können sie einfach Reis Nudeln mit Ente anstatt "Bun mang vit" oder Reisnudeln mit Gemüse und Fleisch anstatt Pho nennen. Das stimmt einfach nicht, schmeckt nicht danach, und gut schmecken tun sie auch nicht. Die Bedienung hat mich so gestresst und teilweise waren sie unhöflich, auch wo der Man uns die Rechnung gegeben hat, hat er kein Wort gesprochen, Rechnung auf den Tisch hingelegt und nicht mal bedankt. Das ist das einzige Restaurant in dem ich kein Trinkgeld gegeben habe, aber ich gebe kein Geld für so eine unhöfliche...

Unfriendly and rude service combined with disgusting food. The food totally failed: too salty, no taste, the soup of pho or bun bo hue tasted just like salty water. Whatever dish you are going to order the ingredients will always be the same: Broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, cucumber, bean sprouts, coriander. The Vietnamese food they served is indeed an insult for the vn culture. Besides, the service was absolutely rude. The customers won't feel welcome there. Never been in such a bad restaurant. Don't waste your money...
