The restaurant mainly caters to German-speaking customers and, to be exact, locals. The instructions and the menu are all in German and the staff gets a bit annoyed once they realize you asking something in English. The manager is somewhat passive aggressive to all guests who miss the “correct” entrance to the restaurant, which is mostly the result of misguiding instructions written ONLY in German (e.g. “the access to the terrace is from the side of the theatre). To be fair, the food and the drinks are decent + affordable, but the quality of the overall experience is rather low due to unwelcoming staff and poor management. The restaurant is located in a town on the Swiss-German border and it had quite a lot of international guests there when we visited. For that reason, we believe that the management and the staff should work on their English-speaking skills, provide clearer instructions, and be a bit more polite when approaching non-German...

Due to Corona one has to que to enter, which is perfectly fine, but the signage is confusing and the place has several entrances. We mistakenly used one of the alternative entrances and got screamed at by the Maitre d'. Our mistake wasn't met with an "Excuse me, you'll have to wait" or "Pardon sir, please go to the other door", but merely a loud and rude screm: "Where did you come from!?"
