Restaurant Ginza — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Lörrach

My first visit to Lörrach. The plan was to go to the nearby Sushi restaurant, after consulting Google. But then we discovered the menu choices of Ginza. We really like the idea of a buffet. Not so much because we want to overeat, but because you can adapt your eating as you go along. The prices for Sunday lunch buffet is not cheap. But the quality of the food and the numerous choices made it a very good choice indeed.

Sushi as starters for two family members. Good

Salad for one person. Good

Peking soup very good. It is my understanding that there is no universal standard how such a soup should taste. So each cook and restaurant had its unique version. Likewise for ingredients in the soup.

Ready cooked Thai curry and Asian specialities. Great.

Fresh meat and vegetables BBQ. Five stars

Plenty of delicious seafood available as well. Shrimps, octopus and so forth. Did not try these. Also I did not try the deep fried treasures. Matter of priority.

Dessert including fresh watermelon and fruits. Excellent.

Drinks. As expected. Nothing special. Standard regional German beer. Tea available but we did not order as it was another warm day.

Ended meal with quality ice-cream. Many flavours available.

Well decorated and maintained place. Suitable for families, children and small events like birthdays and similar.

Friendly staff.

Spices are adapted to EU. That is, very mild. To my surprise I found a few traces of fresh chili pepper next to the vegetables. Great.

Full of flies in the display where the food was stored at the buffet. The colour of the sushi appeared dull even if food colouring was certainly used. We were just too hungry to go somewhere else but never ever returned. We focused on cooked options but still had stomach problems upon...

It has really good food and very good quality of sushi (better than some other similar all-u-can-eat buffets.) They introduced all-u-can-drink so it's really nice. The sweets are a bit too dried out, or taste like the fridge they stood at but the food, sushi, noodles are amazing. The decor is pretty, I think it's ok for get-alongs.
