Sen — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Lörrach

Finding such amazing Asian food in a small city like Lörrach was truly impressive. We are visiting from the Bay Area in California, where we have high standards for Asian cuisine, especially pho, which we often enjoy. Our first visit to Sean was motivated by their offering of pho. We ordered the beef pho, and the broth was incredibly flavorful—it really exceeded my expectations. The only minor downside was that the beef slices were too thick, making them a bit chewy, almost like rubber. Typically, the pho we have is made with thinly sliced raw beef, cooked by pouring hot broth over it.

What I loved the most was the papaya salad. The slices were finely cut, making it easy to eat, and the dressing was perfectly balanced. The presentation was also beautiful, instantly whetting my appetite. Although the restaurant is located a short distance from the train station, it’s absolutely worth the trip.

Wir kommen aus der Bay Area in Kalifornien, wo wir hohe Ansprüche an asiatische Küche haben, besonders an Pho, das wir oft genießen. Unser erster Besuch bei Sean war motiviert durch die Tatsache, dass dort Pho angeboten wird. Wir bestellten das Rindfleisch-Pho, und die Brühe war unglaublich geschmackvoll – sie hat meine Erwartungen wirklich übertroffen. Der einzige kleine Nachteil war, dass die Rindfleischscheiben zu dick geschnitten waren, was sie etwas zäh machte, fast wie Gummi. Normalerweise wird das Pho, das wir kennen, mit dünn geschnittenem rohem Rindfleisch zubereitet, das durch das Übergießen mit heißer Brühe gegart wird.

Am meisten hat mir der Papayasalat gefallen. Die Scheiben waren fein geschnitten, was das Essen angenehm machte, und das Dressing war perfekt abgestimmt. As in the name of the restaurant, this is a kind of asian fusion cuisine. The dish I ordered are well prepared. Everything was fresh and tasty. Normally we use more spices in Vietnamese cuisine but here it's quite light and easy to enjoy. The portion is very good. It was a very nice pause after many meals we took only meat and sausages in the region. To be honest, we did the road from Mulhouse to Lörrach just for it. It was totally worthy. The server was very nice, service was top, very quick, not like in Alsace. I rarely see any Vietnamese restaurant with this nice decorations. We will come back at occasion. I...

Really delicious and authentic vietnamese food here. We tried the shrimp and the katzu chicken with noodles and they were both excellent dishes.

The gyozas were also very well prepared and the sushi also seemed quite fresh. The freshly squeezed juices are a wonderful choice if going alcohol free. We really enjoyed our dinner here. The service was prompt and attentive. Highly recommend making reservations in advance as they...
