Bahnhof 1872 — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Nagold

Our Kellnerin was so nice! She was very busy, so we tried not to bother her.

For an appetizer, we got the Bier-Brett. We really enjoyed it. The Käsespatzle was delish. The potato salat was chef‘s kiss and the smoked Schinken was perfection. Comes with a flight of beer which is fun.

For the entres, we ordered steak. My husband got the ribeye. He said it was good. Their krauterbutter was a great topping for it and it was cooked perfectly.

I ordered the filet. The cut was beautiful, but as with most taller cuts, it is hard to get a warmer temperature right. I ordered medium, but it came out rare. Since I will also eat rare, I didn’t bother to send it back to the very busy kitchen.

I had a red blend from Argentina with my meal. It was yuuummm. My husband enjoyed his Hefe.

Outside of that the atmosphere was fun. Cool lighting. It’s kind of a rock and roll, motorcycle vibe with…steer heads on the wall?

I don’t know, but I wanna go back for the food again for sure! As with many German restaurants, the food took a while to come out and the staff are busy running around. So don’t expect quick service. Just expect kind service...

We enjoyed our lunch today at Bahnhof 1872.

As you may have guessed from the name it is at the platform of the the small train station of Nagold. The interior is fresh and stylish, if you pay attention there are plaques of different rock bands with signatures, a motor bike and a drum set. I would categorize it as a steak house with many variations of beef and pork. For vegetarians it will be a pleasant surprise that they have quite a few options with salmon for the pescatarians among us. The meat, fish and other ingredients are of a good quality. I would say the meals are good, and that there is some potential for improvement...

Nach langer Zeit wieder essen gehen und uns hat's ins Steakhaus nach Nagold verschlagen. Der Laden war noch sehr leer am Anfang aber wir waren auch schon um 18.00 und ohne Anmeldung da . Freundlich bekamen wir einen Tisch für 2 und mit Luca App und einer Karte , die andere per Barcodereader aufs Smartphone und schon ging's los mit aussuchen . Überschaubar dich leider gab's kein Dry Age Cut da dies wohl nicht bräuchte bis zum richtigen Reifegrad . Vllt sollte man dies wenn man neben dem Eingang einen fetten Reifeschrank mit 2 Racks drinhängen hat auch gleich am Tisch sagen da demnach eine sehr grosse Vorfreude flöten ging. Beim Filet musste der Kellner auch erst nachfragen ob es da sei aber nachdem dies dann geklärt war bestellten wir . Filet war Medium und fein . Leider als 2 kleine loins aufm Teller aber die garstufe war in Ordnung . Dessert war auch OK nur würde ich bei Speckmantel Banane noch ein kleines Messer dazu legen (oder Speckcrumbel machen ) da der Speck sich schlecht mit Löffel und Gabel Auseinanderreisen lässt . Die Location war langsam aber sicher 3/4 voll aber das Servicepersonal villeicht mit einer Person mehr noch ein bisschen besser aufgestellt . Zu zweit lässt man dort gut n Hunni liegen , gerne würde man das auch noch umso mehr investieren wenn der Service nicht so Überhetzt und unkoordiniert wäre...
