La Frida Mexicana — Restaurant in Viernheim

Based on the reviews, we had high expectations for this restaurant. It is a short walk from the hotel where we were staying and so an ideal place for dinner, we thought. The restaurant is located in the industry park so there is the road traffic right next to the patio, but it was still somewhat cozy.

After being seated, we waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to take a drink or food order. After placing our order we waited half an hour before receiving our drinks, and another half hour before receiving our food. In that hour only a few tables received drinks and only 3 dishes were brought outside, 2 for one table and a chip/guacomole appetizer for another table.

The food itself was not worth the wait. The enchilada meat was good but the sauces tasted like they were purchased ready-made from the supermarket. Salad was fresh but the dressing was too thin and sweet.

In the time we ate, nothing came out of the kitchen for the other tables. By time we were leaving they were finally bringing out...

So… it was amazing!the food was absolutely delicious!!! My daughter had a virgin pina colata (pineapple) the pineapple was so sweet and so good the drink itself was amazing then she had tacos wivh were also very good and tasty. I had the cheese and chicken enchiladas and they were great!

Now I’m an American and were i live in Germany, we don’t have real sour cream but THIS place has it and it was just incredible!!!

The Owner of the restaurant is Indian but do not let that stop you. He spent two years in Mexico and really knows his way around mexican food!

The best Mexican food I ever tasted. The food was freshly made with very friendly service. The quality, quantity and price combination was great. Very good decoration. The cocktails was fantastic. They recognized my birthday and surprised us with fried ice which was awesome. They had a good number of parking place and big beer garden. I love visiting them...
