spectacular view that I didn't get to enjoy everything else: remarkably bad service, less than average food for a high price

Specifically asked to book a table with a view, got it confirmed. Still was seated at the inner side of the restaurant. I naively assumed the outer tables were reserved for larger groups so let it slide - only to see most tables being occupied by couples... Obviously they do not read booking requests before confirming them (and I even happened to mention that it was my bday in it). Asked the waiter for a wine card, he pointed me to the menu with 10 wines on it, saying "this is the wine card". So looked up the wine card on the pdf from the restaurant website and managed to order from there, the waiter didn't even bother to excuse himself. The food was less than average, the fish was abusively over-salted, especially for such a high price and low variety - you would really expect it to turn out much nicer. The atmosphere is that of an assembly line, not of fine dining. The waiters are obviously overwhelmed and end up doing a poor job. So do them a favour, and go...

I booked this restaurant months in advance because it is one restaurant with a view in Würzburg I haven’t been to. The Google directions direct you the back of the restaurant which has no access to the restaurant. You have to go around, park and then walk to the restaurant. It took us half an hour to find the right location after asking the locals. Once we arrived, the view from the restaurant is great. For appetizer, I had the bratwurst and a flatbread. The flatbread is great, the bratwurst is quite standard. As an entree, I had the original schnitzel and it is a huge portion. However, the food tasted pretty average. Their wine list is great, definitely worth visiting. I do not recommend this restaurant if you are handicapped or a foreigner. They have almost no access to the restaurant for handicapped people. Furthermore, they also don’t accept any other credit or debit cards that are not German. Fortunately, we had a German person in our group and I have no clue how we would have paid...

Amazing place to be, the view is stunning, on terrace was self-service, which is absolutely ok. Super wide range of drinks and the food was also very delicious! We had the dish with the asparagus and schnitzel - I can very recommend to try it out in the spring season, it’s super fresh, juicy and the sauce hollandaise was self made and very tasty. I loved the decoration of the place, it reminded me about a lodge in the alps in skiing region. The price was absolutely fine, considering the best view, delicious food and lovely location decorations. I definitely can recommend this place - I would say, it’s kind of a “hidden gem 💎...
