ALFA - Echte griechische Küche — Restaurant in Weiden in der Oberpfalz

After a long afternoon of walking and diving, hubby and I were hungry and weren't sure what to eat...stopped in here and wow, what a vibe! One of those restaurants where the atmosphere is palpable, it was packed on a Wednesday after 8pm when we arrived and luckily we were seated immediately. I'm assuming that a reservation is usually best. The buzzing of the guests, restaurant layout and lovely decor really makes for a winning combination! Our food was fantastic, a really good, authentic TENDER lamb shank that just melted in our mouths...and the desert was really lovely. Service at the beginning of our visit was great, very attentive but not too much. But as the night wore on and the place began emptying, the service fell off a little...my only gripe. Wir waren jetzt zweimal da. Einmal zu viert an einem Feiertag und einmal zu zweit an nem normalen Samstagabend.

Ich muss das Essen als allererstes mal sehr loben! Ich liebe es! DAS ist echte griechische Küche. Das Gyros ist nicht nur irgendein zusammengeschmissener Fleischmüll, sondern echtes leckeres Fleisch. Sehr zart. Ich empfehle das überbackene Gyros mit Metaxasauce (die echt nach Metaxa schmeckt). Die Vorspeisen und Tapas verlocken dazu, viel zu viel zu bestellen, weil man alles mal probieren will… :) … und sie schmecken auch echt lecker ;) Die Hauptspeisen sind nicht sonderlich groß von der Masse. Aber, wenn man eine Vorspeise und ein Hauptgericht bestellt, ist man im Durchschnitt gut gesättigt.

Der Service ist auch an turbulenten Tagen gut. Ein leeres Glas wird in der Regel schnell bemerkt und sofort weitere Getränke angeboten.
