Barolo Coffee & Wine — Restaurant in Weiden in der Oberpfalz

I stopped in for a gin and tonic, advertised on the board outside as a special. There were no specials. So why list it outside? I then ordered a Japanese whiskey. I was really looking forward to trying the brand. There was very little left in the bottle after they pulled it out of its cardboard housing and they had none in the back. Who puts a nearly empty bottle back into the packaging? The smart move for the bartender is to offer the little remaining in the bottle for a taste. No offer was made.

The owner/manager came in and could obviously see how little was there and nothing in back. He put a glass next to the the bottle and I figured he’d apologize for running out and offer the small remaining portion as an apology (see picture). He didn’t. I ordered a beer and got out of there fast. Word to the business, I would have tipped really well and ordered more drinks had you the common sense to at least extend the courtesy of a last drop of the remaining whiskey. I just don’t...

Ich war kürzlich mit Freunden dort und grundsätzlich macht das Lokal einen guten Eindruck. Leider war der Service alles andere als zufriedenstellend – speziell eine blonde Bedienung mit Dutt ist besonders negativ aufgefallen. Während andere Mitarbeiter*innen freundlich und aufmerksam waren, saß sie die meiste Zeit nur herum, wirkte desinteressiert und nahm die Gäste kaum wahr.

Mehrfach haben wir versucht, ihre Aufmerksamkeit zu bekommen, wurden aber ignoriert. Man hatte das Gefühl, sie möchte einfach nur ihre Zeit absitzen, anstatt zu arbeiten oder freundlich zu bedienen.

Wirklich schade, denn so etwas kann einem den ganzen Besuch verderben. Wenn man sich als Gast nicht willkommen fühlt, bleibt man beim nächsten Mal...
