Excellent restaurant using fresh, quality ingredients ask served in a beautiful presentation. We've been here severely times now in the month we've been here and never been disappointed. Tonight we tried the jumbo shrimp appetizer which is served in a huge bed of nicely dressed salad... makes the shrimp look kind small, but doubles as appetizer and salad in one, enough for two to share. Must try: Angus Oxen dish which is a huge melt-in-your-mouth tender piece of meat with amazing flavor, and the mixed grill medallion plate, with delicious Bratkartoffeln, and also very generous. The schnitzel was also excellent, and made with veal, kind of a rarity in this land of pork. My daughter loves the burger, which is so tall it requires a knife and fork, though a tad pricey at 16€. And save room for the melted chocolate dessert---just don't plan on sharing it, the serving is quite small, though delicious. They serve some delicious organic fruit lemonades, that have a nice light flavor and minimal calories (24/bottle). Recommend the rhubarb strawberry one especially.

After the starter (ok, but nothing special) we waited over two hours. Waiters passed at us many times, none informed us about how long we'd still have to wait or even apologized. The food was served without any apologies either. Moreover, it's understood that we had reserved the table and didn't just drop by spontaneously.

After waiting for so long and paying much higher prices than average, we expected something spectacular. What we got was mediocre at best. I could have cooked linguine with oil (what it technically was, in more fancy words though) in roughly twenty minutes myself, at cost of below 2 euro. Also, eating my portion had me bite on sand at least three times. The decoration is rarely existent, a single, short tulip and a bland candle.

An additional negative point, kid meals are only served up to 12 years of age, and their descriptions are meant to be funny but sound rather disrespectful.

Immer wieder haben wir einen guten Willen gezeigt und diesem Lokal noch einmal eine Chance geben wollen, aber unser Besuch dort gestern war dieses Mal echt der Gipfel... Tisch ab 20 Uhr, das hat noch geklappt, aber dann ging es los. 20.30 Uhr immer noch kein Getränk. Unsere Freunde wurden schon ungeduldig... Dann endlich die Getränke bei der Hitze da. Jetzt wird es ja wohl fluppen... Vorfreude pur! Gefluppt sind ringsherum nur die Gläschen und Pfannen - und zwar teilweise samt Inhalt auf die umliegenden Gäste. Einer mit roter Sauce auf dem Polo-Shirt hat mir besonders leid getan... An unserem Tisch geschah dann lange Zeit nichts mehr. 21 Uhr Vorspeisensalate - lecker und ließ auf mehr hoffen. Plötzlich wurden noch kleine Heringssalate gebracht. War nicht bestellt... Frage an die Bedienung, ob das wohl ein Gruß aus der Küche sein sollte... Ratlosigkeit... Kurze Nachfrage bei einer anderen Bedienung: "Ja, genau! Naja, dann sind die eben erst nach der Vorspeise da." Oooookay... Rest der Bestellung: 21.30 Uhr. Zwei magere Salate mit Ziegenkäse im Vorspeisenformat ergattern zwei Plätze. Entsetzen bei den Gästen: für über 10 Euro soll das glücklich machen? Der Rest war okay... Zwischendurch noch einmal Getränke bestellt... Dauert halt wieder ca. 15 Minuten... Nach dem Essen: keine Lust mehr noch etwas zu bestellen, wer weiß, wie lange das wieder dauern wird... Die Rechnung, bitte... Dann jammert die Bedienung noch, dass ja gottseidank nicht jeden Tag Abifeiern wären... Hm, sollen wir sie jetzt noch bedauern? Freie Tische sind freie Tische... Ich dachte, der Service müsste vor allem aufgrund des tollen Wetters darauf eingestellt sein? Anscheinend Irrtum meinerseits... Fazit: Ich kann mir einfach nicht erklären, wie man es schafft, bei dem tollen Ambiente einen Abend so zur Enttäuschung werden zu lassen... So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt......
