YORI Korean BBQ — Restaurant in Wiesbaden

This feels like a “home-style” Korean bbq. I had much better authentic Korean bbq before - with real coal, grill directly on the pan and the pan will be exchanged few times during a meal. This is important in giving the meat a nice smoky flavor.

The side dish is a bit sloppy... I expected it to be more “Korean”. For example Kongnamul and Miyeok Muchim are typical Korean side dish, but not some packaged Japanese pickled ginger (Gari)😅 The marinate of meat could also be better...they don’t taste very authentic...

All in all not bad (although not very authentic) and still a nice experience, considering this restaurant...

The restaurant is a good size. We made a reservation, but it wasn’t necessary as it was empty when we arrived. More people came later, but it was still quiet for a Saturday night. The service was a bit slow and not very friendly. The food (served raw) took about an hour to arrive. It was okay—the seasoning was good, but if you’re vegetarian, avoid this place.
