Bobhaus — Restaurant in Winterberg

Prices are very high, but food and especially service are total disaster. I can only recommend - look for another restaurant. ok, after such a comment, here is the full story. I would leave the readers to decide if they want to enter this place or stay away. After a lovely morning outside we were hungry. The restaurant was just there, so we decided to give it a try. Prices were shocking at first sight (Wurst mit Pommes - 13 EUR or so, of course ketchup / mayo come for extra charge). Anyways, I decided to go with "Kleine Haxe". I asked if I can change the side dish - Kartoffelpüree - for Pommes. I was told NO. Frankly, that's first time I get denied such a basic thing in a restaurant, so I was not too happy, but decided to proceed as I was hungry and didn't feel like moving. When the "Kleine Haxe" came, there was the next disappointment - the Haxe was as small as a chicken wing. Then I tried to cut it... it was as chewy as a rubber gum. That topped it, so I complained to the waiter. After few minutes the cook came and started arguing that if the bone is out, the meat is OK... The only good thing in the story was that he offered to take away the dish. But no apology and no alternative offered. Clearly, not end of the world, but huge mismatch between the lovely nature and view around and the offered...

Never go there! Treated very badly even threatened that I would be beaten up!!

Me (mother with 2 kids) waiting at the entrance, met by a little old waiter. He asked if we wanted a table for 3. I asked if it was possible to just use the toilet. Disappointed and irritated, he said that it was possible for 1 euro pp. Downstairs near the toilet was a turning gate with coin machine 1 child was already under the gate (I admit not handy but I was paying nicely) while the 2nd child went and I was putting in coins myself. Already the little waiter started yelling at us that I am a scammer and a thief. To which I replied and showed that I was paying. Then a second big fat aggressive man came along and threatened to beat me up if I didn't come up immediately. In the meantime I've been called out for all sorts of things, in the presence of my children!

These people should not have catering! Apparently they don't like foreigners!?

Afterwards we received a very friendly and warm welcome at the Panorama restaurant. Definitely worth...

Tourist trap. This place doesn't care at all about the customer experience. They charge insane prices for very poor food. And are behaving absolutely horrible towards the guests. My daughter was literally told to 'shut up and wait' to order. While we were already busy ordering..(?) It came totally out of nowhere. And the other daughter was told she could not order food without mayonnaise or ketchup (really?). The waiter's approach was aggressive and intimidating towards the children. I was literally flabbergasted.

The other guests sitting at our table told us that this was common practice there and I should ignore it, but the shear rudeness and lack of respect is so overwhelming.

Good personnel is hard to find, but I wonder if they even tried.

To avoid as much as possible...
