Asia-Wok — Restaurant in Wittlich

It was a shame to eat at this restaurant in Whittlich. The food was alright but the service was awful. The lady serving us was extremely rude and had an attitude the entire time. My oma had ordered the jasmine tea and when she got it the herbs were still inside. So she asked the waiter if there was some way to filter the herbs out but she told us that it would dissolve and it never did. My oma ended up not liking the tea so she didn't drink it. We were going to ask for a different drink so she could enjoy her meal but the waiter didn't come to us and she ate her meal without a drink. When we asked her to pay my oma told her that she didn't enjoy the tea and that she wouldn't pay for it since she didn't drink any of it. That's when she became spiteful and slammed the receipt on the table and told us "pay now" "cash only" and took only two euros off. Mind you we were all American so I'm suspecting racism. I wouldn't recommend going to eat there if you're any other race because that's the energy that was shown to us. She was highly unprofessional and we spotted her telling two nice girls sitting outside off because they weren't content with something they ordered. And to add a cherry on top while we were walking out of the restaurant she said to never come back again. Awful experience...

Das Essen ist normalerweise gut, aber wenn man schon groß Lieferservice anbietet, sollte man gerade in Zeiten wie diesen darauf achten, dass man auch liefern kann. 3ter Versuch den Lieferservice in Anspruch zu nehmen innerhalb von 2 Monaten und jedesmal ist zufällig gerade das Lieferauto kaputt. Hilfreich wäre auch wenn den Telefondienst jemand übernimmt mit dem man sich zumindest halbwegs deutsch verständigen kann. Auch wenn das Essen gut ist, verliert man so die Lust überhaupt nochmal etwas zu bestellen.

Bei einem aktuellen 4. Versuch um 21 Uhr Essen zu bestellen (für 4 Personen!!!), da auf allen Menü-Flyern steht "bis 22 Uhr geöffnet", wurde von der Dame in gebrochenem Deutsch gesagt, dass man gerade zusperre weil nichts los sei und man keine Lust mehr habe. Spricht nicht gerade für ambitionierten Geschäftssinn. Manche scheinen auch in Zeiten der Pandemie nicht unbedingt auf Kundschaft angewiesen zu sein. Davon abgesehen ist es ein "No Go" in der Gastronomie gross für etwas zu werben (Lieferdienst, Öffnungszeiten usw.) aber das in Wirklichkeit im Einzelfall nach Lust und Laune zu entscheiden. Professionalität ist etwas anderes!

Update 10.03.2022 Wollten nach Monaten nochmal den Lieferdienst riskieren. Die Bestellung war sehr mühselig und langwierig da die Dame immer noch nicht richtig deutsch versteht. Nach einer Stunde erhielten wir den Rückruf durch den sehr netten Zusteller wegen der Adresse. Das Essen war enttäuschend! Jede Asia Bude am Straßenrand hat besseres und mit mehr Liebe zubereitetes Essen. Wie schafft man es, dass eine Frühlingsrolle innen verbrannt ist und der Teig außen teilweise noch roh und teigig? Die Wan Tan waren nicht mal richtig frittiert (siehe Foto) und die Suppe total wässrig. Die Hauptgerichte waren entweder kaum gewürzt oder hatten einen komischen, undefinierbaren Beigeschmack. Eines war außerdem komplett kalt. Eine riesige Enttäuschung! Wir sind geheilt - nie mehr wieder! Tut euch das bloß nicht an!

Update 08.02.2023 Ja wir waren so blöd es nach einem Jahr nochmals zu versuchen, in der Hoffnung, dass sich etwas verbessert hat. IRRTUM! Auch nach einem Jahr steht auf den Flyern generell, dass auch geliefert wird aber am Telefon kommt " Heute nix liefern!" Es wäre hilfreich wenn der potentielle Kunde endlich mal darüber informiert wird ob und wann jetzt auch geliefert wird oder nicht. Na gut, dann holt man das Essen eben selbst ab, nachdem am Telefon für 4 Vorspeisen und 4 Hauptgerichte gesagt wird "In 10 Minuten fertig!" Leider haben wir uns über die schnelle Zubereitung umsonst gefreut da das Essen unterirdisch war. Man muss es mal schaffen, dass 4 komplett unterschiedliche Gerichte (von gebratenen Nudeln bis zum Gericht mit gebratener Ente) durch komplettes überwürzen nahezu identisch und schlecht schmecken (nehmt einen großen Schluck aus der Maggiflasche und ihr habt den Originalgeschmack nahezu identisch). Weiters war ALLES dermaßen scharf gewürzt, dass auch Liebhaber von Schärfe an ihre Grenzen gestoßen wären. So nebenbei gibt es jetzt auch noch weniger Reis als Beilage. Das war die letzte Chance die wir diesem Lokal gegeben haben. Es wird Zeit, dass ein neues asiatisches Lokal nach Wittlich kommt. Bis dahin werden wir es in Kauf nehmen und auf die durchaus guten Lokale in umliegenden Orten ausweichen. Das raten wir auch jedem der beim asiatischen Essen auf Qualität und nicht nur auf sein Glück...

I’ve NEVER witness such horrible service and behavior from a service person in my life.

A customer ordered her food and she was brought the wrong dish. Very politely, the lady explained the error to the waitress (who might actually be one of the owners). Instead of acting professionally, which means apologizing and correcting the mistake, this absolute Medusa ripped the plate away from the customer and stormed off. I thought that’s already pretty bad but she actually managed to top herself. She stormed back with her notebook in hand and actually threw it onto the table, violently pointing to her notes, trying to prove to the customer that she in fact was right. This poor customer was so irritated and confused at this absolutely abhorrent behavior that she was at a loss for words. The waitress stormed off once more to then return and throw the plate with the correct food in front of the customer. I witnessed this abomination a couple minutes ago and it aggravated me to the point of writing this review.

However, I’ve eaten here a couple of times and trust me the food is NOT worth the inhumane treatment...
