Margarita — Restaurant in Alonnisos Municipality

I should only mention one thing: we couldn't stop ordering.

We tried the grilled scorpion fish (which we were used to being served in a soup or fried, but nonetheless it was grilled to perfection, opened up by the chef ready to be dug in) which was extremely fresh and delicious, the fisherman salad with both the local tuna & octopus, then fried zucchini, prawns, calamari, everything was mouth-watering. The location was idyllic, we sat in the shade (which was cool enough to dine in despite the 35°C in ambient temp) in front of the seaside and the lazily-waving fishing boats anchored in the bay. Service was top notch and George brought out everything with a wide smile. Prices, despite the general expensiveness of Alonissos, were the best we've seen in our 4 days here.

We'll be here again for sure, probably one of the best restaurants we experienced...

The location is lovely – a small harbor with just four tavernas, giving it a peaceful, authentic feel. The staff was kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the experience at this particular restaurant wasn’t awesome. The food was average at best, and the portions were very small – more like kids’ plates. We paid €17 for calamari, which didn’t feel worth the price. Overall, the meal was nothing special, and the pricing felt more like a tourist trap than a traditional Greek taverna. Δυστυχώς μετά από σκέψη αφήνω την κριτικη μήπως σκεφτούν οι υπεύθυνοι κάποια πράγματα και βελτιώσουν τουλάχιστον τις τιμές τους. Επισκεφτήκαμε το συγκεκριμένο μαγαζί περσυ αρκετές φορές. Είχαμε μείνει ευχαριστημένοι από την τοποθεσια, την εξυπηρέτηση, το καλό φαγητό. Οι τιμές ήταν τσιμπημένες αλλά …μπρος στην ικανοποίηση μας το προσπεράσαμε. Ηρθαμε φέτος χαρούμενοι ξανά και επισκεφτήκαμε το ίδιο μαγαζί. Συναντήσαμε τον ίδιο υπεύθυνο, τα είπαμε, χαρήκαμε. Όταν ήρθαν όμως τα 2 κυρίως πιάτα απογοητεύτηκα με. Γαριδομακαρονάδα και θραψαλο απλό στα κάρβουνα. Μεριδες καφενείου σε πιάτα λαϊκής αγοράς ούτε καν γιαλινα-τιμές Μεγάλης Βρετανίας. Μια γαριδομακαρονάδα με 4 γαρίδες αυστηρά για 1 άτομο 27 ευρώ!!!!! Και ένα θραψαλο μέγεθος σοκοφρετας 18 ευρώ! Περσυ το πιάτο με την γαριδομακαρονάδα είχε 5 γαρίδες και 20 ευρώ. Ειλικρινά απογοητεύτηκα με γιατί δεν χωράει στη λογική μας αυτή η εκμετάλλευση. Οι φωτογραφίες είναι από το περσινό πιάτο και τον φετινό λογαριασμό!! 2 άτομα 75 ευρώ χωρίς κυρίως ψάρι. Διάβασα με προσοχή την απάντηση σας γεμάτη έπαρση και αλαζονεια. Σκοπός δεν είναι η δυσφήμηση αλλά η διόρθωση κακώς κειμένων για τους επόμενους. Όταν πουλάς 27 ευρώ μακαρόνια με 4 γαρίδες σε πλαστικό πιάτο καφενείου και 18 ευρώ θραψαλο θα πρέπει να μπορείς να το υποστηρίξεις. Εάν κάτι από αυτά που είπα δεν ανταποκρίνονται στην πραγματικότητα θα σας ζητήσω...
