Trapezaki Restaurant - Bar — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

We stayed within walking distance of Trapezaki restaurant. There are 4 or 5 others within walking distance of each other, this is hands down the best. The others are nice and you will probs try them all, but you will be secretly wishing you were here 😊. Food, selection, atmosphere and service is the best we tried. They get busy so you may want to book.Locals seen eating here which says a lot !! Also as it's busy the service can be slow but....this is Greece, chill out ! Preliminary note: The food was truly EXCELLENT, and the dishes (calamari and moussaka) were well-seasoned, which is not a given these days. The ambiance is a bit Spartan, and the few plants hanging from the ceiling are somewhat withered. A woman’s touch or ‘eye’ could really help here. The many waiters do the service very quickly and are attentive. What we didn’t like: the huge TV monitor is inappropriate for a Greek tavern. The BIG NO-GO, in our opinion, are the parrots kept in cages. It’s neither hygienic for a restaurant business nor appropriate to keep animals like this or display them. The noise, the light, the drafts, and the curious, hungry cats visiting the cages really don’t need to be there. Thank you for your understanding.

orbemerkt: Das Essen war wirlich AUSGEZEICHNET und die Gerichte (Calamari und Mousaka) gut gewürzt was heutzutage nicht selbstverständlich ist. Das Ambiente ist ein bisschen spartanisch und die paar Pflanzen die von der Decke hängen sind ein wenig verkümmert. Hier würde eine Frauenhand oder "Auge" gut tun. Auch die vielen Kellnern erledigen das Service sehr flott und sind bemüht. Wenig gefallen hat uns: der riesen TV Monitor ist für eine griechische Taverne unpassend. Das NO GO sind unserer Meinung nach die in Käfig gehaltenen Papageienarten. Es ist weder hygienisch für ein Restaurantbetrieb, noch Artgerecht Tiere so zu halten oder zur Schaustellen. A very good restaurant where you can eat delicious Greek food. The service is impeccable except for one older grumpy waiter who doesn't really give you the feeling he's happy to serve you. The rest of the staff is very caring, nice and super friendly. The food served here is really good.
