Le Cafe — Restaurant in Athens

The coffee here is average. Bitter and burnt. They don’t ever offer even a biscuit or something along with the coffee even when asked.

They ignore the law and during winter months they smoke inside (illegally). The service personnel is good at their job and kind, but one of the managers is one of the most inhospitable and rude people i’ve met.

I asked for a cigarette since I’m trying to slow down smoking (not buying my own) and though he had a pack on the bar, he rudely refused saying “there is nothing here for you!!...”

I always tip large, so it’s not a matter of burdening the store and manager with the cost of one cigarette. I used to go there almost daily and work from there plus had all my meetings here with coworkers.

They just lost me as a permanent customer as well as 6-7 other people.

A message to the management: Learn to be kind and hospitable. It pays off in the end. You saved the cost of a cigarette, and lost plenty of customers from your manners. Mind you, if you politely refused I would have even apologized for asking.

If you don't know how items on your menu are made simply take them off the menu. Your waitress could benefit from learning...

Πολλοί βασικοί κανόνες δεν ισχύουν εις βάρος των καλεσμένων που δεν αποτελούν παρέα ή θαμώνες καθημερινοί. Επιτρέπουν το κάπνισμα σε κλειστό χώρο (ακόμη και παρουσία μικρών παιδιών), επιτρέπουν τα κατοικίδια σε κλειστό χώρο και μέσα σε χυμό φυσικό βρέθηκε ένα μικρό κομμάτι από χαρτί.

Η κοπέλα που μάς εξυπηρέτησε ήταν ευγενική και φιλότιμη. Ωστόσο το κατάστημα από πλευράς...
