I went their today with my Cypriot friend. The waitress had a really bad attitude. She seated us, and I asked if I could use the bathroom. She stated their is a code which you only get on a receipt. She bought over a bottle of water, and we asked for a menu. She walked off with an attitude and only bought back one. When I asked for a second she once again seemed put out. After looking at the unimpressive menu, I asked for a Greek coffee. She stated they didn't sell Greek coffee. I then showed her where in the menu it stated Greek coffee. She then asserted they don't sell them once again. My Cypriot friend asked for a frappe in Greek, after which I asked if I could now use the bathroom. She stated I could not because I didnt order anything, even though we ordered a bottle of water and a frappe. I said that being charged for those two items would produce a receipt, and thus I could get the bathroom code. She stated that she wouldn't give it to me and that even though I have dietary restrictions which they could not meet I had to order something. We decided to leave, after which she told us to make sure we cleared our own table of the glasses! Absolutely horrible place. DO...
Read moreWe went in today, unfortunately without first checking the reviews, as we were in terrible need of a coffee after spending the whole day walking through the Acropolis and museum. Initially we were a bit put off by the waiting staff trying to lure us in but we really needed a coffee and thought it would have been nice to have a coffee near the park. As soon as we sat the waiter tried to make us look at the menu, but we said we just wanted coffee, to which she insisted we add a dessert or cake. When she finally understood that we were not giving in she left and next thing we know she came back with our two coffees and a bottle of water (1litre) which we didn't order and for which we were charged 4 eur, a total rip off. To make things worse our espressos were way too long and burnt. Each espresso was charged 4eur, so total bill was 12 eur. Try to avoid this place at all cost, there are many better...
Read moreSat down here to have an espresso and the waitress charged us €4.30, which is actually the price for a double espresso. When we asked her if she had brought doubles or singles she said she'd brought singles, which were actually priced at €3.30.
Obviously we weren't going to accept this and the waitress tried saying that ordering an "espresso" means a double and we needed to order "small espressos." Unless this place is reestablishing the worldwide standard, this was a cheap attempt at a rip off. We argued our case and referred to the menu, which she was hesitant to give us, and finally got her to agree to charge us the correct price. Total amateur hour here so save your time, money and frustration for a more quality...
