KULINARISTAN — Restaurant in Athens

Absolute Gem in downtown Athens. The food and the service are top quality. There is no menu in this restaurant but by going with friends and an open mind to sharing platters of amazing food you will be impressed. We had 6 different plates of sharing food. Starting with a seafood and bulgar wheat topped with baba ganoush . Followed by potatoes in a creamy curry sauce with sausage. Then chicken fried rice followed by pork neck with cumin and spinach. The last dish was baked seabass with noodles. Every dish was seasoned and flavoured with fusion and skill. The chef joined us for a shot provided on the house. It was a true culinary experience. The chef Christian is deeply in love with his job, and it shows through his dishes which are colorful, abundant and, most important, truly delicious. Don't be discouraged by the fact that there is no menu, just let the chef guide you through it's wonderful gallery of culinary artworks. And last, but not less important, Christian and his waiter Spyros made me and my friends feel at home in their restaurant. I don't know if I'll ever come back to Athens, but if I do, I will definitely come back to Kulinaristan, and I advise you...

I mean, if you intend food as a form of art Kulinaristan is a life changing culinary experience, I don't know how it can be possible, but every plate keeps being better than the previous one, maybe it could be my suggestion, or maybe the chef knows something that we mere mortals do not; I deeply believe that it's the second one.
