Δασαργύρης — Restaurant in Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra Municipality

A really unfortunate experience all in all. We visited thanks to all the positive reviews and even after looking back it’s hard to say what went wrong when we visited. The food was disappointingly underwhelming, borderline eatable. Bone dry souvlaki with no vegetables, bread or any sides besides fries. The chicken soup was not anything special either, too sour and tasteless to finish. The table next to us had their bread burned like a piece of coal, not seeing a drop of seasoning or olive oil like we’ve seen in almost all other places in Greece. The staff were friendly but weren’t really helpful. Greek salad had close to no cucumbers and tomatoes were hard, almost uneatable. And also unlike most greek restaurants we got charged everything including the water and bread we didn’t have a choice to say no to. We visited the restaurant on 28th of October (national day of Greece) at 14:15. At that time, most of the dishes such as kokoretsi, chicken, pork kontosouvli and lamp were not offered -finished-. The justification was that previous clients ate them all. If it is true, then the restaurant owner, as he cannot plan at all the dishes required (especially when he knows that on national day he will have more clients) he would better quit his job and find another profession.

Other than that, the plates ordered were fair (not something special) and service was polite. Too much noise though from trucks passing exactly outside...

Food wasn't bad but quite average nothing special. The beef steak was medium to well done instead of medium that we asked for. That wasn't the issues though. The issue was that due to the fact there was a queue waiting to be seated the waiter grabbed our plates without even asking with half eaten food on them. We didn't even have the time to react, it was out of sudden. We felt the need to leave less than an hour after we came in. Also after he took our plates he wouldn't stop staring even though we still had wine in our glasses. Wouldn't recommend the restaurant. Hopefully it was just...
