Taverna O Karmalis — Restaurant in Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra Municipality

To sum it up. We were on an excursion from Club Med, and had a lunch break. We decided to eat lunch at this place Only because of the view.

When we sat down the young rude waiter made us wait very long before he cleaned the table as if he was on purpose.

We ordered our meals which was fast but 2 of us ordered burgers...

When they arrived it was only a PATTY, where on earth do you order a burger and there is no bun or garnish??

I asked the rude waiter again and he says this is a burger, flabbergasted I said to him go Google a burger, the menu should only then say patty..

I paid 14 Euros for a patty and kak chips..

Okay then when we paid we walked to the owner, we looked on the slip and in Greek is said water, everything else is in english and the water is Greek.

1st of all the waiter asked us if we want water and he said is it free? He said it comes with the table.

Now 9 Euros for water is ridiculous, I demanded to be refunded as we didn't even open the water bottle.

The owner and the waiter started argued with us and eventually we got the 9 euro back

The point is, they ripped us off because we are tourists. The burger is only a patty I mean really, they think we are stupid tourists. They were absolutely rude!! I even fetched the salt and pepper for the table as the waiter yet again on purpose ignored us.

Beautiful view but horrid experience.

Please be aware of the water and burger scam that will cost...

What a disgrace this restaurant is for paying customers!!!

The presumed owner thinks taking office with its Laptop in the center of the dining area is what customers want to see? The presumed son of the owner thinks its nessecarry to start a loud and endless conversation about football with his dad and a servant. This disrespectful attitude is not acceptable under any circumstances is enjoyable for customers that have dinner?!?!!

Came here and ordered a 5 minutes after siting down. A large party of around 8 sat down as we were ordering and got they got their food first. Their whole table got their food before we got our cheese and bread that took 35 minutes to get. Also some of the plates that we both ordered got to their table even though they order ten minutes after us. Horrible service. We had to scarf down our food because they severed us 3 plates out of 5 after 56 minutes and we only had 1 hour and 10...
