Magnolia Mediterranean Restaurant — Restaurant in Kassandra Municipality

We had the pleasure of visiting the Magnolia Restaurant at Kassandra Palace twice, even though we were not staying at the hotel and were travelling from out of town. Both times we were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation - but in high season I recommend booking in advance.

From the moment we were greeted by the kitchen we knew we were in for something special. The service was friendly and professional throughout - and the quality of the food was excellent.

The seafront location provides a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere, enhanced by the elegant columned elements and ancient Greek decor, adding a unique flavour to the experience.

We enjoyed every dish especially the aubergine with Greek yoghurt and a modern twist, the breaded cheese (saganaki I guess) starter, the salmon with quinoa, the courgette and vegetable salad, the roasted courgettes with Greek yoghurt, the tuna sashimi and the rigatoni. (See the enclosed pictures) We'd gladly choose this selection all over again.

Overall Magnolia Restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience that I can highly recommend - we're already looking forward to...

Very western-like (un)hospitality. No Greek spirit at all, no Greek warm hospitality whatsoever. Prices are bigger than any food place nearby. If you don’t have a reservation, they don’t tell you neither ‘yes’ or ‘no’, they make you stand at the middle of the restaurant while manager checks you out if you can sit down or not. Also if they let you sit, they tell you that you will wait for food for longer, which frankly makes you feel unwelcome. We waited for our drinks for 10 minutes, then couldn’t order food with the same waiter, because we had to wait for another waiter that will take our food order. When he finally came after another 10 minutes, we didn’t want to order any food, just paid for our drinks and went to dinner to another place. Not recommending this...

The service is terrible, the wait time is more than an hour, with an empty restaurant. The restaurant administrator who has been working there for 6 years is scandalous and not customer-oriented, she argued that we had already eaten the dish that we waited for 40 minutes, a very unpleasant atmosphere because of such service. Complete confusion with the waiters, they completely mix up orders, ask 10 times and still bring out the wrong thing. The administrator gets personal and that is completely...
