Tavern Nikos Moschos — Restaurant in Kassandra Municipality

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nikos and the food was very delicious. The traditional dishes were perfectly prepared, and the service was excellent.

Unfortunately, I noticed the suffering of many stray cats in the area. I have never seen it as bad as in Paliouri. Many were sick, emaciated, and hungry. It is heartbreaking that these animals starve, dehydrate, or worse, get poisoned or run over during the off-season when no tourists are around.

One solution to this problem is the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program, where cats are trapped, neutered, and released. For TNR to be successful, the Greek population needs to help. Greek people, this is your home. Show some compassion and help by feeding and sterilizing the cats. Killing some of them will not stop the increase. This is the most inhumane and ineffective way. The only solution is sterilization.

If you want to adopt an animal, please contact Halkidiki Animal Rescue. Together, we can alleviate the suffering of these animals and give them a better life. Additionally, more tourists will be inclined to visit, as no one wants to witness such suffering on the streets. These tourists will not return to Paliouri if this preventable...

We visited this place for dinner on our first day of vacation as we had good recommendations. Very bad attitude from the girl at the entrance as we asked if there was availability as we had no reservation, and she only answered dont stand here and wait. We waited very patiently for 10 mins to be sitted. We were appointed to a table,and a boy brought a bottle of water, which we didn't ask. 15 minutes later, nobody came to a menu. Nothing. We picked a menu on our own and waited for somebody to come. 25 minutes later, the reception girl passed by and asked to order she only answered "lady you have to wait for 3 mins." 15 mins after the 3 mins nobody came and we decided to leave. It was already 10 p.m. As we stood up, a waiter came to take an order. No sir and LADY, you are very late. Sorry, but all this was really, really bad. It might be a good restaurant but I won't visit...

Location: The restaurant is located at the main street of the village. However, the traffic noise is not really noticeable. The restaurant has a spacious terrace. Service: The staff was very friendly and patient. The waiting time was OK. Unfortunately, one of the ordered dishes was forgotten. However, the waitress was honestly apologetic and reduced our bill after we declined the offer to order it quickly in the kitchen.
