Location: The town center is small but nice. One would wish that they blocked the access for cars though. Setting: We sat on the terrace and luckily managed to avoid the fans blowing down your neck. We enjoyed the outside seating, even despite the traffic. Service: The staff was friendly. One coke we had to order twice. Unfortunately, they were not able to manage the food order and brought starters and main dishes mixed. However, the one big criticism I have is that the fish only came very late, while the others on the table were about to finish their plates. The accompanying fries were in the meantime served with the starters and were by that time cold. Food: The food was OK. The Greek salads were nice in size, the mixed grill had its ups and downs, the fried anchovies and the fried calamari were done well and the fish was good. Loved the place, the waiters are very friendly and for what we heard from locals, this is the best taverna in Paliouri. We ordered the octopus (which was my fav dish), lamb chops, cheese croquettes, bougiurdi (melted feta with tomatoes and peppers stew), the bifteki (homemade burger) and Greek salad. The Bougiurdi should be hotter because the feta was not properly melted, but the lamb chops were very decent and the salad very fresh and delicious. Service was pretty quick. This is one of the best taverns in the village. I have been visiting it for years. With an excellent location. Parking by car is difficult and it is more appropriate to walk around. The cuisine is always top-notch and extremely delicious. The service is also good. An excellent choice for a late lunch or dinner with loved ones, friends or family.
