This is a remarkable restaurant in many respects. Firstly, though roofed, it is entirely open, straddling a scenic route down the west coast of Lefkada island, with free(!) camping among olive trees on one side, and restaurant with simple facilities on the other.

The camping has a kiddies play area, and the whole exudes considerable charm. The view onto the sea from the restaurant is stunning. The remarkably open concept lends the whole a very worldly, welcoming and liberated feeling.

Nico, the owner, is fond of clowing about, but has the knack of bringing people at various tables together. As a solo traveller I really appreciated this.

He is warmhearted, funny and kind, but, if you dig a little deeper, fond of his country''s culture - and a bit of a philosopher. He is backed up by an excellent greek cook

I camped at Nicos for 3 days, and the food was consistently good, varied, tasty and the portions generous. As a walker, this prepared me well for the long descents to the nearby (and stunning) Egrimni and Gialous beaches.

If staying into the later evening, I'd wear long trousers against the occasional mosquito, and take a warm jacket for the cooler, late evening breezes off the sea.

It's sobering to think that Nico''s restaurant has twice been destroyed by earthquakes, bridged two years of covid, and is now -granted, like many others- facing astronomical energy price rises. In this light, I find Nico''s concept, energy and good humour truly...

Pessima esperienza. Cibo terribile. Proprietario e servizio atroci.

Nothing against the food. In addition to the food, the guy is supposed to sell some local products in the entrance of his restaurant, there is a bench of local products like olive oil, wine etc. Around lunch time he said "come back" later as I am not open even though he was open as he and his employees were there.., anyway we did go back in the evening as the place was on our way. In the evening that we went back, he was ignoring us, made us wait again more than 10 min and when I insisted that he comes to get paid for the products that we chose, when he realised I am local he said sth that literally translates to "I don't sell to villagers, leave my place". That was said in much worse way but due to platform policy I can't post it here... Therefore the owner is extremely rude and...

Best authentic Greek food I have eaten on the entire Island of Lefkada, at the best prices. Everything is so tasty that you would want to order more. The view from the taverna is spectacular, you will see the Ionian Sea and its beautiful sunsets. Nikiforos, the owner and twh waiter as well, is a wonderful, funny, hardworking man, always making jokes and funny stuff. He served is with starters free of charge: olive paste with bread, loukoumades (donuts with honey and cinamon) krasomelo (a Greek beverage made from red wine, with honey, rosemary and cinamon). I recommand this place with all my heart, you won't regret it 😄. We went there twice.

A superb location to sit and watch the sunset or just to sit and look over the sea. Since the beach road closed due to the earthquake in 2015, it would seem that it can be very quiet there sometimes and in fact we were the only people there that evening and we sat and talked to Nick the owner for several hours and just talked about everything under the sun. Super hospitable, a lovely place hope the beach opens for Nick's sake in the very near future. You can pay a fortune to go to Santorini and see pretty much exactly the same sunset, so if you're in lefkada just travel here and you'll see the same sunset for free.

I like the place, how it looks, where it sits, its atmosphere. We tried moussaka (good, no tomato sauce in it, so I guess it's some kind of local recipe?), "no feta" greek salad (tomato was worse than any you can buy in supermarkets, cucumber had a strange flavour), the big portion of grilled bread was pretty good and the free dessert (loukoumades) was very nice! The staff is funny, the owner guy makes jokes constantly, entertains the guests and himself too :) the food could be better (and cheaper). Ps.: there is free parking (for campers too) opposite the restaurant in a big olive garden.
