Me and my girlfriend did a small walk around of Agia Marina on the first day going there to check out stores, restaurants etc and we saw this gyro place. We decided to head there for lunch after our beach time on our 2nd day of our 3 days
First things first we went there at around 4pm and the place was close to empty. It was also spacious.
The waiter came and gave us the menus. At the time of writing this, the price for a single gyro is 3.20€. I got 2 chicken gyros and 1 sprite and my girlfriend got 1 chicken gyro and 1 coca cola.
We waited around 10m or so for the gyros to come and when they came, we saw how big they were for 3.20€ as in Athens some gyro places got their gyro 3.40€ or even more and it's not a reasonable size/not price to quality but Pita Tom's gyros were really good sized for only 3.20€.
What we noticed during eating was their sauce. That sauce was really good, and i enjoyed it a lot, the same thing said my girlfriend as well. Well, when you see a sauce that's like almost pink in color, you know it's gonna be a damn good sauce!
All in all, the gyros weren't bad at all, me and my girlfriend enjoyed them, and we had a great time there.
The total price for what we got was 13.2€
I will definitely come back here next time i visit...
Read moreI visited Aegina in mid 2019, close to peak tourist season and yet you wouldn't have known it. Their prices are extremely cheap for the huge portions you get, the hospitality was standard; and by that I mean the Greek standard. Strangers who welcome you in as if you're family and would give you the clothes off their own back if you asked! It was insanely hot that day so the owner gave me a bottle of water to drink (on the house) whilst I waited for my order. The food was tasty, you can take away or they have plenty of tables for you to dine in if you prefer and conversation was great (in Greek obviously) though you can 100% get by and order without it. I recommend coming here and as always, don't judge a book by its cover! Σας...
Read moreI only had one night on the island and stayed in Agai Maria and was blessed to have Pita Tom on my doorstep. As I walked by earlier that day I observed a Greek man tucking into his gyros with a hearty apprention and then the smile on his face sold their food to me. The service is a true testament to the world famous Greek philoxenia. The outdoor seating had a nice holiday vibe to it. I had the souvlaki plate which was a generous portion with 3 big fat juicy chicken skewers and all the trimmings. Homemade chips were so tasty, I would have like more. Great value for money. I'm coming back in September and I'm already looking forward to trying...
