cafebar zil — Restaurant in Municipality of Aegina

On our second day here on our vacations with my girlfriend, we wanted to eat breakfast before going to the beach, and my girlfriend suggested we go to this cafebar place across the bakery.

She ordered a coffee, i think it was a freddo epsresso medium with evapore? Not sure exactly, and i got a simple fanta can, and we sat outside. I'm not a coffee guy myself, not that i don't know about coffee, but i don't like drinking it, but the color of the coffee was really good looking. She even said the same thing, and she said the taste was also good. I unfortunately do not remember the exact prices of the coffee and fanta, so I'm not gonna randomly guess it.

The waiter brought us the menus, and we chose to get club sandwiches. I got the chicken club sandwich that costed 7.50€ and she got the plain one, which costed a euro less, 6.50€. Now, the thing is that we waited a total of 20 mins to order the club sandwiches. We were drinking our things and waited 20 mins for the waiter to come on her own without us calling her because we thought she saw us that we were done choosing what we wanted and thought she would come on her own. Eventually, she didn't come, so we raised our hand to make her come and she came a minute later. We ordered our club sandwiches, and we waited a total of 10 mins or so for the food to come.

First impressions of the food was kinda disappointing, the food came cold, not even luke warm. We didn't complain because we're not the type of person to complain, so we instead ate the whole thing. Not sure if it was pre cooked, in the fridge then microwaved it to somewhat warm it, but the food wasn't warm at all. The taste was alright, not bad, but if it was somewhat warm, it would've had a better taste and given it a 4 or 5 star, but i had to give it a 3.

The reason i put 4 stars for the service was for the waiter that we waited 20 mins for her to come and for the food that came cold. She could've at least asked us one more time if we were ready, but she didn't.

I will come back here next time i visit Agia Marina, and we will order food again. If it comes cold like it happened with the club sandwiches, i may not order food from them and get only...

This review is about the beach unit run by the café bar, where we spent two days with my family. The beach itself is not crowded, covered with sand. They offer sun beds and umbrellas for rent at a reasonable price, all looking nice and neat. The best thing about the beach bar is the staff: everyone is kind, approachable and super friendly, delivering your orders to your sun bed always with a nice word or two. Even though I'm not a beach person I definitely recommend coming here when visiting...
