29-06-2023. Our second to last day of our two-week holiday went to this restaurant on the advice of another Dutch couple at the Corfu Mare Hotel. They advised to take the Sofrito. Normally we always went to eat in the old town, which is quite a walk. Being close for once was also nice. Once there, we turned out to be the first guests. Often you think it's nothing and look for something else. Confident in the advice, we went in anyway. Spot on the road with a view over the harbor and the sea. When we looked at the map, it turned out that the Sofrito was not on it. Surprised and disappointed, we looked for something else. When taking the order, the owner told us she had some other dishes in addition to the menu, including the Sofrito. Our choice was quickly made, Tzatziki, Spicy dip, Chicken al la Crème and Sofrito. The tzatziki and spicy dip were just good, as we have eaten before. That doesn't make the difference, BUT the Chicken al la Crème and especially the Sofrito was exceptionally tasty. Sofrito resembles what they call simmered meat or string meat. It falls apart like that and the meat was without fat edges. Absolutely top notch. When we asked about the bill, we also received a schnapps (raki) and ice cream from the house. That too was a surprise. We have been out to dinner 12 times and this was the first time we experienced this! All praise to the friendly and cheerful owners of this restaurant. Unfortunately, we lacked time to go back. (I'm not into writing reviews, this was my first time and...
Read moreWe booked it for the 9th of August, expecting to have a local, not so touristic experience. Although the place has a good potential and is at a good spot with parking space, it is characterised by misery and stinginess. The singer pretends to play guitar along with playback music so as not a second musician to be paid (a disgrace in an island full of musicians and long tradition in music!)absence of liguid soap at toilets, tiny portions sliced as films!! Very disapponted by the invisible mushrooms at the bottom of lots of cream the bowl and the tiniest fried zucchini balls ever seen! The french fries were nothing special, too. Left our teenage sons to eat mostly, since the portions were really small. Did not have any sweets at the menu or treats afterwards as it is common in many restaurants in Greece. Really...
Read moreWe went for holidays at corfu and at our last days there we visited and had food at this fine place of a restaurant called “ San paramithi “ and we had the time of our lives, the great waitress and cook embraced us with a warm welcoming - shared and talked about many various topics that actually made us feel even more welcome and grateful to have chosen that place for our last night’s dinner. Thank you so much Mr. Stathis and Ms. Nancy...
