We arrived before dinner time, they were barely in the restaurant. The waiter sat us down at a table with the tablecloth for the consumers in front of us. After 10 minutes, he came back and picked up our order for the drink, which we waited another 10 minutes to serve. In these 10 minutes, a waitress wanted to pick up our order again. The drink arrived but they didn't bring all the drinks we ordered. we also ordered the food at that time, for which we waited 28 minutes and those who came after us were already served. The waiter came to our table with the missed drink 28 minutes later and said he had forgotten the food. We waited another 10 minutes for this. the payment was also complicated: since we wanted to pay not by cash but by card, the staff inside waited for us at the counter for 5 minutes, then the male waiter showed up and finally...

After spending almost two weeks on Paxos eating the most amazing food, we had one night in Corfu Town before getting the plane back home. Staying at the Corfu Mare, we chose this taverna based on Google reviews - and they weren’t wrong!

It was such a lovely place - a real family run taverna, incredibly friendly service, huge portions and food that was as good - if not better than - what we’d experienced on Paxos. Prices were a lot better too.

The house salad was HUGE and really delicious. The chicken souvlaki the best we had on our holiday.

The best restaurant in Corfu. We went four times over our two week holiday. Everything is really special. The food was absolutely delicious and consistently brilliant. Generous portions and particularly recommend the meat platter and mixed greek salad. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with the outside area looking onto the port under the warm glow of yellowy lights. The family who runs it are wonderful people: kind, welcoming, hospitable and friendly. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough....
