THE TANDOORI BITES — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

The only reason I'm giving one star is because I have to in a first place and secondary because the staff was quite motivated to provide service... It wasn't mediocre or even bad... for me there was nothing related to indian food... I have eaten really a lot of indian food in Europe and never had such a disappointing experience... for me it was a mess and I'm honestly sorry to write this but I have to level it down to a cheap fast food immitation of indian food... Taste was just bland... where were all those indian flavors and spicies??? there was not even salt in there.... Ambient reminded in any single element of it of India, almost depressing. Portions of the meals were extremely poor considering the prices they ask for. It was shocking to see the appetizer "Masala finger chips" landing on our table, which was just plain frozen fries that one can make at home and can get at any fast food with just some poor spicies up on them. (?) I've never tasted the "mint sauce" on the salad... It was just a lot of plain oil for me. (?) The prices do not correspond to their quality level. I wouldn't recommend it and especially not to any indian kitchen connoisseurs... it was a sad dinner night...

This Indian restaurant is exceptional! The food is simply outstanding, the flavors were vibrant with each dish rich in authentic flavors and perfectly balanced spices, making it easily some of the best Indian cuisine around. I got the curry chicken with pineapple and mango was a absolutely delicious, offering a refined balance of the curry and sweetness that made each bite genuinely enjoyable. The service was exemplary—polite, efficient, and attentive—adding a level of professionalism that elevated the dining experience. Their politeness feels natural, not forced, and it's clear that they take pride in their work. The prices were surprisingly fair, especially considering the quality of both the food and the overall experience. Cleanliness is clearly a priority here, with the entire space, including the restrooms, maintained to an impeccable standard. This restaurant is a must for those in Corfu seeking authentic, well-prepared Indian...

We went here while on holiday this year, the starters we ordered were overdone, dry and VERY hard, not at all nice we then gathered up our plates and cutlery to be collected, the waitress then proceeded to collect them and said - spoons! And pointed to the cutlery to take it back a reuse it for the main course so we had to take it back and wipe it down on our cheap paper napkins !!! . We were the only people inside having a meal, so no atmosphere, we choose to sit inside as it's situated on a very busy main road To be fair the curry /rice was ok but definitely nothing special, overall the food was overpriced, nothing exceptional service ok apart from being told to reuse our cutlery - we would have went back during our stay but after this experience decided we’d...
