It looks like someone had money and just wanted to open up a place like this without passion. They are literally just profiting of the location with a nice ocean view.
The staff (at least the lady) was barely friendly. She looked like she wasn't really happy with having new customers.
And also when she came over to our table to take the orders, we asked her what meals they offer we might get, she talked about lamb, chicken, beef and pork meals. Then we asked for some more time to decide.
Finally when we decided to get the dish with lamb, she said no, we don't have it. Alright what about beef? again, no we don't have it. So what do you guys offer then right now? tell me so I can order. She said they only had chicken gyros. What? Why don't you tell us that in the beginning then? And it's not even like they were having a lot of customers so they may have sold those out.
Some meals on the menu have got no pricing. The food was not authentic at all. And I kid you not, the food we had (chicken gyros) with fries and some sliced tomatoes - cucumbers - 5 rings of onion, made with no passion. very lousy. very very simple, nothing special. therefore overcharged.
The chicken gyros were just like chicken döner, no difference. I am not exaggerating. The tzaziki sauce was very little.
Aside from all of this, the ice coffee was TERRIBLE. Avoid at all cost. It tasted just like water with a very little bit of coffee flavoring and coffee dye. Disgusting. Obviously not finished it.
And mind you we really liked greek people, the island, and the ocean, all of that. It's just very sad that you travel all over there to the country and you'd expect at least something authentic tasting, not some food that you as a non-greek person could easily make it at home with very little bit of effort.
Plus the toilet didn't flush, that was a horrible experience.
I don't recommend this...
Read moreThe food and waiters was good, fresh fish but only had 10% of wine availability on the menu. A bit inflexible and the guy that works at the till is a horrible person that cannot see properly and was arguing about our payment which went through 100 percent… I even showed him on my banking app and on sms with the time and name of the payment process. He was still arguing after showing him the proof, getting so angry smashing his hands on the counter, super unprofessional, threatening us like we are dumb but in the meantime he is the person with the incompetency. He was threatening to call the police and I was telling him to please do so since I have all the proof. He has messed with the wrong people and he needs to be fired. I am German and accurate especially with accounting since I am an accountant and knows exactly when something is deducted and when not from my account. I will never return to this place because of him. He is so crazy that he cannot even see black and white proof. I want to call the police to report him for falsely accusing me of not paying my part of the bill. If he is incompetent to look at facts and falsely accusing the wrong person of something that is not true....
Read moreIt’s our first time in Corfu and we wanted to try a nice local taverna. This taverna has high reviews, but: First impressions were that the place is nothing that special. There is a car park area, which was useful, as parking in Corfu is an issue. The staff are very friendly, no doubt about that. The girl that served us was great. However, the food was mediocre. We ordered two Greek salads and white fish in some white sauce with fried potatoes. We didn’t wait long, but honestly for me the quality of the food was the same as being in a kebab takeaway shop. The salads were tasteless: the peppers looked like they were cut in the morning, the cucumbers were not tasty and the tomatoes, too. Seasoning was only with oregano. The fish was nothing near of what you’d expect when being in Greece. I think if you look for the genuine taste, have some second thoughts...
