Pazuzu — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

The entire visit to Pazuzu was a total disaster, i hade made a reservation well in advance as i travelling in from Germany with friends from all around the world to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday at pazuzu. i provided my credit card details and also made inquiries as we planned to have a great day. however when we were about 15mts away from pazuzu i received a call from the hostess saying that the kitchen was going to be closed at 5.30pm and that we would not be provided food (this was after they hade made my reservation for 5.30pm and provided me with no advance notice of this happening). when we reached pazuzu it took them over 30 mts to set up a table and figure out what to do and how to serve us, they were very rude and they had even completely ignored my advance request to prepare a small birthday cake or dessert for my wife, as we wanted to wish her there. Pazuzu ruined my wife's 40th birthday and further ruined an evening planned with many other who flew into Corfu for this special day. i will ensure to write about this experience to every know online journal and share the video's and picture's we took of this horrible experience. even with all this shit service we still spent around 200 euros on what ever their bar served and then at 7pm without even informing us they closed the bar and brought us the bill. we are Asian living in Europe so i believe pazuzu was very racist towards us and also they must have thought we cant afford their prices, which for them is a loss as they do not know our social and financial standings. never ever visit this place. if anyone wants to contact me...

I had read some negative reviews but assumed they were mostly from people who didn’t want to pay, so I decided to experience it myself. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the most expensive and disappointing beach experience I’ve ever had.

We paid €60 for a front-row set of two sunbeds, but the shower wasn’t working all day — they said it was broken. The only alternative offered was the public beach shower, which required walking quite a distance through the sand, especially inconvenient when needing to use the changing cabin nearby.

The changing cabin and toilets are very far from the beach area, which is particularly uncomfortable for women who may need to change swimsuits more often.

The staff member responsible for assigning sunbeds was quite rude and not at all solution-oriented — if anything, she escalated the issue instead of helping.

The sunbeds are extremely close to each other, to the point where you physically bump into the people next to you when standing up.

The only positive aspect was the girls working in beach service — they were all very kind and polite.

If you don’t want to overpay and leave disappointed, I’d recommend skipping this place. You’ll probably have a better time just relaxing at the taverna next door. Definitely not worth the price for two sunbeds with a thick sponge.

I would like to formally file a complaint regarding both the service and the dish I was served at your restaurant.

I ordered the shrimp salad, which according to the menu included lettuce, avocado, and shrimp — with no mention of cucumber, an ingredient I cannot eat. To my surprise, the salad arrived with cucumber, and I immediately pointed out the mistake to the staff. The dish was taken back and shortly after, a new salad was brought to me — this time with salmon instead of shrimp. I had to clarify once again that I simply wanted the salad as described on the menu.

The situation worsened when a staff member approached me visibly annoyed and asked, in a rude tone, “What is the problem with the salad?” I explained once more that I expected the dish to match the menu description, which did not include cucumber or salmon. Shockingly, the staff member responded disrespectfully, accusing me of having eaten the shrimp from the first salad — which is clearly untrue.

In the end, the correct salad was finally served, containing only the listed ingredients (lettuce, avocado, and shrimp). However, I was taken aback by the price: €22 for a very basic salad with just four small shrimp.

I am deeply disappointed by the way I was treated and by the lack of professionalism shown. I hope this situation prompts an internal review, both in terms of menu accuracy and, most importantly, customer service, which in this case was...
