I don't normally give bad reviews but this place ruined a day of my holiday so I feel compelled to warn people!
We made a very unfortunate decision to sit here on our recent trip to Corfu. We paid 12 Euros for 2 sunbeds and paid a further 3 Euros for a 1 litre bottle of water. We were told we had to order further food and drinks from them - ok.. A member of staff (a rather angry faced looking girl) sat watching us all like hawks most of the morning. I then purchased another set of drinks (water 3 Euros, and a smoothie (5Euros). The kids were in the sea and started saying they were hungry, so we went to get them some food, we also watched 1 half of the England v Spain WC final. When we arrived back at the sunbed the member of the staff came to ask us where we had been, she said why didn't you tell me you were going to leave for an hour!!!!! I said I am on my holiday I didn't think I had to get your permission to leave!!!! She then said please pay me now and leave my sunbeds, you have consumed too little and we want to rent the sunbeds for those who consume more than you!!!.
I was very disappointed by her attitude and consider it a lack complete lack of respect. She also made my wife very upset and cry which is a shame as she was recovering from being very ill before our trip.
My wife asked to speak to a manager and we were told not to bother as they were worse than her and it would make her more upset.
If they really want customers who pay lots of money whilst sitting on the sunbeds they have already rented then they should set out that a minimum order is required and not take peoples money for the...
Read moreHad a very bad experience with the waitress and bartender on the beach over sun beds: We came at a early hour ( around 09.00 AM ), we occupied 2 sets of sunbeds, there was nobody there, also, no information bout reservation or ownage of the sunbeds, there was only a price listed somewhere not really visible, after 2 hours a waitress camed by with a german family and "throwed" us away because its their sunbeds and they had them reserved, although i repeat no one was there for more than 2 hours and no information placed anywhere also no reseve signs on the sunbeds or table. The waitress ( a boy ) with a very bad attitude after we told him that we where sitting there for 2 hours allready. The guy screamed at us (" who do you think you are"); we asked to see a manager but he went inside and called the bartender, he was a bit more calm, we explained to him that we where sitting there for over 2 hours and there where no reservation signs anywhere and also no indication of ownage or personal, eventually we got lucky as the nearby ( nikos taverna sun beds where available and we took those also we got 2 bottle of water in the sun bed price) but i repeat a verry bad and discrimantory attitude towards costumers. I wont recomend to sit at this bar or even at their...
Read moreLack of respect for the customer. The attitude of the staff was disrespectful in the sense that when you arrive and you don't even get to sit down on the sunbeds, you are met (instead of welcome or a simple hello) with the information that you are obliged to order only from them and you are not allowed to have food or drinks bought elsewhere. A set of sunbeds and an umbrella is 12 euros per day and you pay separately for what you order. So I occupied the two sunbeds and ordered soft drinks as the "house" rule was presented and I paid the 12 euros for the sunbeds and the counter value of the consumption. Around 12:30 a member of the staff came to ask us if we were leaving and when we were leaving because we consumed too little and they want to rent the sunbeds for those who consume more. I was disappointed by this attitude and consider it a lack of respect for the customer. If they really want such customers, they can specify that renting sunbeds can only be done with a minimum order of ... (minimum value of consumption), but you cannot ask for money for renting sunbeds and come ask me when I leave because I haven't consumed enough. I said that I do not consider their attitude normal and the cost of renting the sunbeds was...
