Slow service, poor service, poor kitchen. What is happening here? We had reserved a table for ten persons. Ordering drinks took a very long time, and getting them served took a very long time as well. The drinks were not served to the intended persons, but just placed at the end of the table, and we as guests had to pass them around. We had to wait a long time before someone took our order for starters and main dishes. The waiting game was now definitely on! For starters, we ordered three small Cretan pies and two tzatzikis with two breads on the side. Almost one hour after ordering, the pies and tzatziki were served, but not the garlic bread! We were told that it was coming. Both the tzatziki and garlic bread were supposed to be eaten together! The garlic bread was finally served half an hour AFTER the tzatziki. My wife and I had already eaten our starter (pies) 25 minutes ago! It is VERY important to emphasize that no one, I repeat, no one at no point during our stay asked us if we wanted any more drinks, not even one question if we were satisfied with the food either! Well, finally we were ready for the main course. This is a story for itself. The plates from the starters were not removed before serving the main dishes. This resulted in “chaos” when the main courses finally arrived almost two hours after ordering. Out of ten of us, four of us got our main dishes first. Half an hour later, five more main dishes were served, but the last one came almost 50 minutes after the first one. Most of the dishes were not warm, and the mixed grill platter had some of the toughest and tasteless meat ever eaten! To be fair, my Stifado and my wife’s pasta dish was tasty and warm enough. We have never ever experienced this kind of lack of/poor service anywhere in Crete before. If possible, I would have given this restaurant zero stars. You might say I gave this place one star because of the beautiful view. I cannot recommend this place. Stay away! I will be very hesitant to give this place...
Read moreAbsolutely Stunning beach bar. Amazing cocktails, Delicious food, exceptional service & the most breathtaking views for a sunset dinner 😍 Recommend this place if you are in the area it really is a Must visit. Very romantic.. The cocktails weren’t cheap but you pay for what you get & they were outstanding- the zombie especially is unreal 😋 The food, i ordered a pizza here one evening which was lovely. But on our last night we chose to have a meal and watch the sunset. I had the beef fillet & it was divine, melt in the mouth, cooked to perfection and very reasonable portion for the price. My partner had the lamb shank with a sweet potato puree & this also was just ridiculously tasty. One of the nicest things I’ve ever tried tbf. The lamb fell off the bone n again more than reasonable size for the cost. Alex (Gino the Italian chef lol) at the front was a great host & had impeccable service & appearance, great banter & didn’t seem to stop working so hard. Same with our waiter, who served us on each occasion we visited, was super polite with incredible manners, just made us feel so comfortable and looked after. The complimentary raki & fruit was a lovely touch. Overall just an amazing place to visit. Absolutely made our holiday spending our last evening here only regret was not doing each night we was away as it was just beautiful. Highly recommend & will most certainly be returning here...
Read moreGood evening, I'll tell you something that happened to me this evening, for me and my wife it is an unimaginable and unbelievable thing. This evening we wanted to have dinner in this restaurant, which we noticed while walking through Agia Marina. We went to the terrace where a very kind waiter led us and was going to set our table. Waiting at the bar for a few minutes until he was going to prepare the table, I noticed a gentleman who made a gesture that marked me. He put his fingers in his pants, in the back, then in his mouth. Then he took 2 chairs that, you might think, were ready for our table. After the gesture he also brought us the menus, I don't even think about it anymore, he was probably going to bring us the plates and glasses. I told my wife what I saw, after which I smelled an unimaginable smell, . The gentleman being next to us, told us that he had set our table, to take a seat. Of course my wife felt bad and I left the restaurant terrace in a flash. An employee told me that this guy was THE OWNER'S BROTHER. So think twice before going there. The point is that several people who were at the bar saw him do this on the restaurant terrace, unbelievable. Shame on the location and the staff... I'm still shocked. I just wanted you to know, when you go there, watch out for the older guy. I'm...
