Mithos Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

Wow!! Came here 2 nights in a row with 4 Greek families who all know Greek food (we thought our mums were the best cooks until we came here!!).

1st night - Seafood menu spread .... wow! fried Saganaki so soft and tasty, the best pastitsio we have ever tasted. Greek salad full of flavour and fresh produce. The Sword fish was like a chargrilled steak - delicious!! Griilled King Prawns to die for....kids menu had a good variety at good prices, and the kids were entertained in the kids section with a trampoline and games. The generosity of the serves, the flowing Raki, the friendly owners and staff...I cannot recommend this place more highly,l.

So we came back again, and on the 2nd night - Meat menu!! Now we just died and went to heaven and returned again to eat some more amazing dishes. Mixed grill had befteki, loukaniko, souvlaki, lamb chops...and everything cooked to perfection and seasoned with loads of flavour...again, the Raki flowed and this night topped the 1st one...we will always remember and cherish the food, company and Cretan hospitality of Spiro and his family and staff.

A must visit when travelling to Crete!!

Went as reccomended by a friend. The place is nice albeit busy. We had the 2 person special offer of pork chops which was very nice. We went back several days later. This time again very busy. We found a table for 2 and ordered our meals which was lamb shank and mixed grill. We waited over 40 minutes when eventually it arrived. The lamb shank was lamb chop sadly the waiter misheard and appologised. He said he could re order but would be a 30 minute wait. Not good as the other meal had also arrived. So we had the lamb chop and mixed grill. The mixed grill was awful, the meat was very dry and salty. The sausage was hard and very salty. The vegetable were cool not hot. I ate the pork chop which was quite fatty and rubbery and some of meat. I told the waiter the food was not good, he just shrugged his shoulders. I told my partner that I had to go as i was feeling queezy. I left went outside and over the road began vomiting. I really did not feel well at all. May of been a one off but I think some of the meat had been reheated several times and douses with salt. Wont be going there again. There are numerous other...

A restaurant for every recommendation!!!! You won't go wrong, the service is fast, the food is fantastic, the staff is very friendly!!!!! The prices are very affordable, at the end they serve sweets as a gift of the house! Pleasant atmosphere, excellent location! Come and see for yourself!!! Kudos to the hosts!!! And here we are again in Mithos. because they are really the best, the waiter is so friendly, the food is rich with many side dishes, that you don't need anything else! They don't serve like that anywhere, if I could I would give them a 10! Pleasant, ambiance, as if you are at home! There is a playroom for children! After the meal, you get a rich gift from the house, see the picture! And the prices are twice as low as in other places! Work €15 with all these side dishes, there is nothing extra to pay for!
